I want to add solar to my 2019 Puma 255RKS, so I sent a message from the Palomino website asking where to drill through the roof to run the wires. This is the response I got:
Hello Sir,
The roof has many wires running thru it .Our newer units are wired...
I have a 19' Sabre 30rlt and use dicor on the roof, no complaints there. The caulking on the sides is needing to be replaced soon. What do you all use that will last the longest? Also, what is the best way to strip off the old caulk to prevent damage? Thank you for your input.
I consider myself a seasoned camper, but totally a newbie in the 5ver world. after 20 years of owning tents, then travel trailers I pulled the pin a new to me 2014 palomino puma 253fbs fifth wheel. I didn't want a massive 40 footer to start with, coming in at only 27 feet, its the...
Any clues why both roof a/c’s suddenly stopped working/shut down simultaneously?
On shore power, 50 amps. Circuit breakers did not trip. Have 120vac to all other functions.
Is there another 120vac cut off device / current trip somewhere in the system?
I checked shore power and it is good...
Looking at buying a generator to fit in the pre prepped are of our 5th wheel but I have some questions. Is it safe to keep a gasoline generator in that space even though there is a small exhaust hole or should the generator be propane and not gas? Also the area curves down only allowing about a...
So this is my first post on this forum as I am very new to Sabre and 5th wheels in general. I just purchased a Sabre 38dbq and will be towing it with my 18 F350 crew cab single rear wheel short bed. I haven't even picked up the camper from the dealer yet and need to make a decision on a hitch...
Have a Curt q20 slider hitch and when the slide was put to maneuver position the hitch hit the tailgate. Not by much. How hard is it to change out the hitch on the trailer for something else so as to not hit the tailgate. I know we can't move the hitch in the truck bed. Or would it be better...
How often does everyone swap out their lube plate. We gave 2 years a d probably 9k miles on this plate (original) and it looks good, not looking worn. But I figure that has to be a point maybe, or is it just when it wears out?
Edit: apparently I cannot determine do vs due in my title..
OK brain trust, I was working under my 2015 Sanibel 3601, and found that the box of the body is only covered in a thine reflective type covering over the wood of the box. This looks to be a very good way to get water to the wood of the box and the resulting wood swelling and failure.
Any...
In the city I can get radio stations fine. When I am at a campground I can't seem to get a station. I use an AUX chord hooked up to my cheap radio, it even has a cassette player so you know it is old and I can use my speakers in my trailer. Anyone have this problem and what is the solution...
Expecting to close next week on a new 2019 Signature Ultra Lite 8288BS! Anyone familiar with this model it would be interesting to hear your comments or concerns. Upgrading from a 2018 Signature Ultra Lite 8329SS TT mainly for additional basement storage.
Well we had been Looking at 5th wheels for 2 months now, and we got a good deal on our trade on a new Keystone Cougar 369BHS and pick it up Saturday. seems about 11500 Dry so probably around 13000 to 13500 with our typical gear, guessing closer to 13000 which is about where I wanted to be with...
Hi all,
We are traveling from south of Tampa to Bull Run Regional Park in Cernterville, VA so we can be in our nation's capitol on Independence Day - so excited! We plan to take a couple extra days getting there and wonder if any of you have suggestions for campgrounds, state parks, interesting...
I'm not sure it's worth the trouble, and I haven't seen a camper with mudflaps mounted behind tires. I am tired of grit and road grime on my stabilizing jacks, bumper, and dump valves.
I can rig up something, but I wanted some feedback. What thinkest thou? I always watch my added weight too.
2015 Dutchman Voltage V-series 3305 Toyhauler with gas station.
Good condition. 5 new tires
On board Generator, 2 air conditioners, Washer/Dryer, 3 Slides.
We bought this new in 2015 and have been using it full time. Probably only towed about 3000 miles then parked here and there.
Tow vehicle...
We are dry camping for the first time. Have been out for about 2 1/2 days. Started out with an empty black tank, now it’s 3/4 full and we have been extremely careful not to overdo it, if you know what I mean. Wondering if this may be a false reading or should we find somewhere to dump? Are these...
I posted this question in another thread but got no replies, so I'll try a broader audience.
I'm looking at trading my Ram 1500 4x4 for a 2019 Ram 3500 4x4 (single rear wheel) so I can upgrade the TT to a 5er. These newer model trucks are TALL! With 20" wheels it's close to 59" bed rail...
We have a 2019 Crusader 29rsle FW with the automatic leveling legs. We sometimes park for 6 to 12 days. Does anyone re-level their rig after a rainstorm if the floors seem to creak more afterward? We are on gravel/dirt pads somewhat pack down. Just had a storm come thru last night and the...
Planning to upgrade our trailer to a 5er - we like the coachmen lite 30RLS. It measures 60” to the bottom of the cab. Tow vehicle would be Ram 3500 SRW 4x4 that measures 59” to the top of the bed rails. Obviously there’s a clearance issue. The pin weight is 1500 lbs dry.
How are people...
What is recommended tire pressure for my 5th wheel? Running Good Year Endurance tires on my Signature Ultra Lite (6600 lbs dry and approx. 8600 loaded)...sticker on 5th wheel states 50 psi cold and max cold pressure on tire states 80 psi. That is a big range! Suggestions?
I just bought a 2016 Wildwood Heritage Glen 368RLBHK that has been converted to a gooseneck hitch. I want advice as to leave it as is or go back to the original 5th wheel hook up. I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500HD diesel to haul with. I would appreciate any pros or cons.
The dw and I are considering a fifth wheel and saw a few ( key word - few) with the front living space. We are wondering why there are just a few models and what those who have one, think about it.
My camper looks a little nose-high after switching to the 2500, but I only have about 5” clearance above the bed rail. My question is, will the axles evenly distribute the weight of the camper, or will the rear axle carry more? There’s a slight crown in the parking lot in the pic.
