5th wheel

We currently have a 2007 RAM 2500 2WD and are looking to upgrade to a 2017 or 2018 RAM 4x4. My question, will I have issues towing our 8289WS level with either of the 2500 or the 3500? Also is the 3500 higher than the 2500? Thanks in advance.
