My Suburban water heater in my FR wildwood heritage Glen HL does not have a DSI light on the control panel. The rocker switch lights up and stays light and the WH works fine. Should the unit have a DSI light that goes out when the WH ignites or should the switch light go out when it ignites?

Re. Our 2009 34SATS Fifth Wheel: Porch light does not light with the normal 1156 bulb. However, an equivalent LED does light. LED is not bright enough but do not know how to get the 1156 bulb to work?
