    Mach 8 AC fan again

I replaced both fan blades with the upgraded blades about 2 yrs ago. Well today down here in Daytona Fl. The front AC fan came apart again. Scared the crap out of me too.. what a noise!! Was able to quickly shut it down. Haven't got up there yet, but I recognize the symptom from the last one...

12 v fans for off grid

Boondocking in Florida can be difficult when it’s hot at bedtime. I have added two 12v fans from Walmart by the bed but they are a little noisy. My latest hack is a whisper quiet fan from a computer that keeps a little air moving and uses a tiny amount of electricity. Where to mount it is the...

    Maxx Fan Interior cover

I found a product called Maxx Shade. It screws to the inside of the fan and has a sliding cover. Air can still pass through the cover but it cuts light out. I added it to the bedroom so in the morning etc it will eliminate the light over the bed.

Living room vent fan control sensor

I know this sensor is to turn on the fan in my living area roof vent. And maybe I'm just different, but I would like for it to turn on the fan when the inside temperature reaches a certain temp. Right now the only way I can get the sensor to turn on the fan is to set the fan at a cool temp. I...

Modify Maxxair 4 speed fan to wall operated?

So, due to some spine issues, some days I have trouble reaching above my head. I have the two button MaxxAir fan with 4 speeds that you press the speed button once for 1 speed, twice for 2 speed, etc. The fan is also tied to my light which I can separate and add a wall switch for power without...

Dometic External Fans, Up or Out?

We have the small entry level Propane 110VAC undercounter fridge in our Wolfpup. After poor performance last trip of the summer I found one mud-dobber nest on condenser coils under the plywood heat baffle that must have been there before I installed the vent screens. We were also test running...

    Roof vent fan

We have a 2306 that has two ceiling vents. One has a "fantastic fan" (in quotes because I don't know the actual brand) with the cover that lets us have it open in the rain and one without a hood or fan. For boondocking we wish to have a fan and cover on the second vent. What's the best way to...

    Ceiling fan quit

The ceiling fan in my 2006 Wildcat has quit. Looks like motor is shot. Any one replaced their fan or motor? Where did you get it ?

    Range hood fan and light

I’ve got a 2014 Shamrock 183. The fan and light over the stove has stopped working. A black wire carrying power to the light switch with a jumper powering the fan switch has power. Both switches have power out. Power is present at the light bulb socket. The white ground wires from the light and...

    infant/toddler camping...what I did for a crib/bed!

So our daughter will be turning 3 this camping season, but we were not going to let her first 2 seasons worth of camping slow it down...much. Our first summer camping when she was under 1, we brought her pack-n-play and set it up on the open floor space. Obviously this was very difficult to...

    2019 Rockwood 2902WS Missing a Maxxaire Fan?

2019 Rockwood 2902WS Missing a Maxxair Fan? The Forest River Rockwood Facebook page posted a blurb about including a Maxxair Maxfan and cover as a standard item while other manufacturers just include the simple single-speed fan. Here was my comment to that post: By 'standard' one would assume...

    AC unit fan hitting

After a rough bumpy ride down I-10 east of Houston (where in the hell does our tax money go to keep interstates nice?) my rear AC fan is hitting something. I am not sure if it's the internal fan or external (if this is like my old rv). Anyone encounter this and before I dig in, any tips if you...

    Broken maxxfan

Both of my motorized Maxx Fans decided to break within a month of each other. It appears that the gray mechanism is made out of pot metal or something. Both broke apart. Fortunately Etrailer had lots of spares available, imagine that. Anyway $13.56 for each one. You can do everything from...

12-volt coffee maker and LOUD fan suggestions

We are newbies and hope this is where we post questions. DH and I would like to try boondocking but would need a 12-volt coffee maker and a 12-volt fan. I will admit I am hooked on sleeping with a fan, not necessarily for the breeze--although it is good to have it blowing on my feet--but mostly...

    Fan runs constantly on inverter

Should the fan on my investor be running all the time, even with the 50 amp cord hooked up? Also the light above my shower, my bathroom sink, my toilet room and the exhaust fan in toilet room have stopped working. I have a 2007 Sierra 335 RLT.

Need help with range hood fan

Last trip out our Ventline fan over the stove stopped working. I checked a few things out and it seemed like the motor had burned out. I put in the new one today and it did not work either. When I tested the wires I got 12.45 volts so it is getting power. The fan did begin to run when the white...

    AC Compressor Fan Assembly

Well, I had to replace my compressor fan assembly today.... Freightliner ordered the new unit ($240.00) and it was a simple crawl underneath rig, remove 4 - 7mm bolts, unplug wiring and then reverse the process with the new unit install..... Saved myself at least a one hr $140.00 labor...

A different AC Fan and Furnace Question

I've seen people ask similar questions, but this is kind of the opposite of the normal AC fan question. I like the AC fan running when the propane furnace is running (I like the steady noise when sleeping). In previous RVs I've had thermostats where setting the fan to auto makes this...

    Furnace and AC fan

We have a 2106 Vibe ultralite. We haven't used the Furnace much so I didn't encounter this question before. When we turn the furnace on, the AC main fan comes on to low or hi depending on how the thermostat is set. The heat comes on and works fine. Recently, the RV park where we were...

    Bunk Fan/Light Brackets Suck

My wife and I both broke a bracket off of a fan/light combo this weekend. Tried to easily remove them from the overhead bar and they just snapped off. I see where I can buy replacement brackets on the interwebz but are they all garbage? Is there a better mousetrap?
