I bought a 2006 Cherokee 23DD last year used in good shape. I noticed the brakes were not up to par on the few trips I towed it. Even with my settings maxed out on my controller, if I slide the manual engagement it doesn't brake that hard. I want to remedy this before the season starts...

Is there a way to determan the size of my brake shoes. We have a 2010 Coachman 5th wheel with 7000# axles . Are they 7"or 10" can I measure the pads. :confused:
Noticed today while taking my rig out to get gas that I have both front brakes beginning to squeal when coming to a stop. As stated in the subject line I have 1649 miles. Put on about 25 miles today and noticed that it didn't go away either.
I know my dealer won't work on these kind of things...

While returning from Camping World in Nashville for the hour and a half drive home I first made the mistake of assuming my brake controller was set from the last time I towed. Guilty, I did not check it nor reset it to be sure I had brakes working on the trailer.

I did a search on the forum and didn't come up with anything about this. It doesn't apply to me but it might apply to some new rigs, not sure if they come with an OEM brake controller.
