    Coach Cage Frame construction

photoguy, I own a 30' Haulmark motorhome. We purchased in February 2004. After 20,000 miles I can't find any evidence of flex in the wall system. Corners are tight, trim still fits well and I've never had a leak. We race offroad and the rig has seen more 4 wheelin' terrain than most Jeeps on...

I'm in the market for a used truck conversion but need advice

Hi Matt, Hope you make it home safe and sound. My brother has been over there for some time now, I hear it's not a lot of fun . There are a lot of different opinions on the length issue. I'm 72' (42' coach and 30' trailer) and have traveled through about half of the states without problem...

Conversion I saw listed on Ebay

I have a 30' Haulmark on a Columbia chassis. It's true that they leave the air ride in, but to be honest I have not observed more than an inch of movement between the cab and the box, well within the limits of the boot. We race MX, and many of our pit areas are on very rough, uneven ground...

    Renegade

If you're buying new, go for the Columbia with the Mercedes 450 and Meritor Freedom IMO. If you ever plan to drive in traffic you won't regret it. As far as the box goes, from my research they stack up like this: Showhauler: Most flexible design, highest cost Renegade: Somewhat flexible design...

I need your help and guidance...

For the money you're about to spend I'd visit the factories. Fly in to South Bend and head 20 minutes east on I-80. Haulmark, Renegade, Showhauler and NRC are within 10 minutes of each other. I visited them all in one day before buying. The interiors are almost indistinguishable. All four use...

    Test Drive & Ride

Renegade doesn't remove the cab suspension, but they do put a travel limiter centered on top of the chassis between the two shocks. It looked like it would limit cab suspension to about an inch; I'm not sure what the travel is without it. Jeff

Showhauler, Renegade, Haulmark Plant Tour (long)

cm, All were open below. I got a similar response when I asked the question. I will probably fab something up my self. I can attach a flat plate with two legs to the side of the adjoining boxes and place a piece of foam insulation on the floor. I did get the heat tape in mine. I've been told...

Showhauler, Renegade, Haulmark Plant Tour (long)

Didn't get a chance to check out NRC. Utility hookups were all pretty similar, all on the road side and very well done. Storage box construction details differed between the three, but all were well weatherstripped and extremely heavy duty. Renegade and Haulmark use double latches on each door...

Showhauler, Renegade, Haulmark Plant Tour (long)

I plan to ask them to seal the edges. We'll see how receptive they are. I did decide to go with the painted (powdercoated) storage doors. I started out prefrring the SS look, but the all-white has grown on me. I'm going back two times in January. Once to see it framed, and once again when...

Showhauler, Renegade, Haulmark Plant Tour (long)

I just got back from my whirlwind truck conversion factory tour. I visited Showhauler, Haulmark and Renegade yesterday, spending about 2 1/2 hours at each location. General Observations Floor plans, configurations, equipment and options are pretty similar between the three. It seems everyone...

    New Haulmark

Hi Bill, I did check out Showhauler sort of indirectly last month. I looked at a 2001 Haulmark on a FL112 chassis which was built by Showhauler, one of the last according to the dealer. The quality was exceptional, although I didn't notice much difference between it and a 2003 built by...

    New Haulmark

Hi all. I just found this forum, and have a few questions. I have an order in for a 30' Haulmark on a new FL Columbia chassis. I looked at Renegade and Haulmark, and selected Haulmark based on the floor plan, and what I perceived to be a better build quality and higher level fit and finish. I'm...
