After hours of research and over 8 hours being told it can't happen, I have an RV title for my vnl 42. What it finally took was a DMV affidavit forcing the title office to make the switch.
Every previous trip to the title office resulted in another excuse. The supervisor at the title office didn't want to make the switch and that was apparent from the beginning.
The lesson here is that the law is the law, We must be as familiar with it as we can. and if it's in our favor it still needs to be followed by the government agencies.

On the flip side, the ladies I dealt with at Motorist services (DMV) were fantastic to deal with. Even though they had never done this in 25 years of service, they were able to look at the law and look at the truck and add 2+2. They are a good example of public servants.
