Getting started on the planning stages of our build and have a question on rear overhang. Our plan is to not stretch the frame and keep the unit to a total length of no more than 36'.....so does anyone know what the exceptable overhang might be with dual axles? Im thinking 6 to 8 feet before it starts looking weird.

Forget about how it looks.

Figure out how much space you need and then research "departure angle" online.

I know all about approach and departure angle due to the industry i work in. Im more worried about rear overhang as i will have to extend the rails and this will affect if i can bolt them in or weld.

I'm not sure about the technical aspects of it, but my TC only has one compartment behind the drive axles (about 48") and I've dragged the trailer hitch a couple times. I've often wondered how the rigs with even more overhang manage it.

Thanks for the info....it all helps to put a picture together.
