Paint ideas for conversions. Black window line like the busses.

I like the look of the modern Prevost and MCI busses compared to a truck conversion because the busses have a black line running the perimeter which seems to make them look cleaner, less cluttered.

What do you think of painting a black line around the body of a truck conversion at the same height as the diner window and at the cockpit to cabin junction, angle the line downwards towards the front bumper, to give it the same black window look that the busses have? Do you think it would clean up the sides of the truck conversion and make it look better? Click here for picture

Who is sharp enough with photoshop where they can take a truck conversion and paint a black window line around it? Please do it and let's see what it looks like. Thanks.

speaking of finishes - to get away from the bland white exteriors - what does a vinyl wrap cost?

maybe not a complete wrap, but accents?

pros/cons vs paint?

Gee, you don't think driving a vehicle that looks like a 20 ton snowball is cool? Well, me neither.
I've done a little research on vinal graphics and have been quoted aprox $13.00/sq ft for custom cut UV resistant vinal (in one color).
The graphics guy says they would expect their stuff to last 6 to 10 years, depending on exposure to the elements. As I keep my conversion inside I would think the material life would be considerably longer.
The advantage (imo) would be ease of application & also replacement if damaged. The graphic company advised they would save the design info on cd & give me a copy.
I've also found that painted graphics would probably cost about the same, at least for the "tear" design that I'm considering.

once you put on a wrap, good luck getting it off. Once it starts to fade and peel after year 5 I dont know what you are going to do. At least paint lasts as long as the life of the motorhome.

Full body paint from Performance on a 45' hauler is $18,000....4 color I think.

We did some flames on the side and a butterfly(manly) on the front wit ha pinstripe butterfly on the back. Makes it look different

Getting vinyl graphic material off isn't as bad as it used to be. 3M makes a rubber wheel that you use in a drill. It will peel off the vinal and not damage the paint or aluminum. It takes a little practice to use it, but once you get the hang of it, you can "peel" the stuff fairly efficiently.
