on this last trip I started having issues with the water pump. If I turn it on full blast, it won't work at all. If I turn it on half way, it surges....but it does work. Any suggestions?

Oh no, I don't know much about them. But, I've heard there are some new ones that are almost silent. Mine is pretty loud and it's right under the head of the bed. So, when mine starts acting up I'm going to get a new quiet one.

....VACUUM LEAK ON THE INLET SIDE.....OR....DIAPHRAGM IS TORN BUT NOT COMPLETELY....TAKE IT APART AND GET NEW DIAPHRAGM ANYWAY.....YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE THE WRONG KIT SO GET TWO.....I HATE THOSE THINGS-PREFER PRESSURIZED SYSTEM.....geofkaye and the Rivercity Girlz...

I know this thread is old but I am at the point of shelling out shekels (Dollars, really) for a pump for the potable water supply, e.g. showers, washing hands, etc. I was thinking of a Remco 12V variable speed RV water pump ~ $200 for the 318 gph model.

Is this the good stuff, or is there something better from folks like Shurflo or Flojet? Or is there a better way altogether to go about this?

Cheers,

ive got a shurflo and an extra incase that one goes bad. I try to keep extra parts on important things in the truck .... toilet parts, water pump, fuses, breakers, fuel filters, and probably ought to keep a second generator .just kidding. I finally got a good one.

I don't know what model number water pumps I have, but I the only problems I have had with the shurflo have been a good ground and scale in the fittings. neither are faults of the shurflo.
