Well Grande Rojo is finally sanded. Tomorrow begins the miles of masking. Probably shoot the paint next week. I can't wait. I have done the functional things first, so its about time my truck finally looks good.

I'll post pics when its done.

Well, its all taped up and the trim colors are done. The rear door is gray and the bumper and steps are glossy black. We have to let that cure before we can put tape on the new paint and paint the rest. Actually it has to have red primer before the red paint. This is turning out to be a lot of work. All I wanted was for it to be one color of red. yeeesh!

check out how orange it is after sanding

its got a certain "stealthy-ness" to it - very unsuspecting and there for <potentially> less interesting to prying eyes ! I wonder how this maybe recv'd by RV parks.

I haven't had any problems before.... and it was ugly. It was faded red with white rv and basement doors.

Its funny to me how most bus conversions are not white, while most truck conversions are white. I wonder why.

well i say WHITE will never go out of style and it ages LESS than some tarted up graphics or "last years" color

just in case my posts read brash, I have nothing against white. I was just curious why the two similar vehicles are treated different. actually if my truck had started out white, I probably wouldn't have had to paint it.

text, emails, and forums have a tendency to read different than they were said (typed). Just being cautious. This has always been a friendly forum and I sure don't want to be the one to ruin that.

doc i meant nothing about the color of your truck - just that its more truck "looking"...
who knows why some of these camp grounds do what they do <in saying no conversion or class8 pullers>.
