I have a 2017 Isata 3. Northern Wisconsin...I put my trickle charger onto the "live" port on lower dash to feed the Engine battery. To provide power to the charger I have it plugged into the wall socket. My lithium batteries are stored inside the garage. I have the camper hooked up as normal to...
We live in NW FL. We get periods of cold weather but it doesn’t usually last long. Not too many times below 32, and usually just for a few hours. What should we do for winterizing? We have it under a carport and plugged in to shore power.
Thank you
I winterize by blowing air through lines. Last year I forgot this outdoor connection and the remaining water in it froze and cracked the connection causing a leak. So I’m winterizing now and no matter what I do I can’t get any air to come out of this outlet when open. I’ve attached the hose and...
Hi everyone, can anyone advise on what is needed to winter over in our RV (8264BHS) or would it be better to just winterize it and close it up for the winter. My daughter uses it as her art studio until her studio is finished being renovated.
THANKS
Installed a new lithium battery in the Spring and have been very satisfied.
I was wondering how a lithium battery should be managed during the winter. My battery manual says it should be maintained at 50% SOC.
Should I remove it from the trailer tongue and store in my garage or just leave it...
At the storage yard where I keep my TT, I've only seen a handful of a trailers with covers on during the off season. Does anyone have any input on the pros and cons of using a trailer cover? Im thinking about purchasing one for my TT being that it is now year 4 of ownership and I want to take...
I am going to winterize my 2017 3010DS and put it to bed here soon for the winter. I will keep it hooked up to my 30 amp shore power the whole time. I also will empty both waste tanks and just blow out the water lines forgoing the antifreeze in the lines because I did that in the past and...
I know the title is kind of generic but here goes with my questions. I know to remove all food especially anything in cardboard boxes or in bags and in glass jars. What about linens, clothes, towels can these be left in the camper or should I remove everything. I also understand that cleaning...
Hello everyone. Was wondering what else do I need to do for 20s and 30° weather other than a heated hose and enough propane to run furnace. Have several heaters inside the camper and currently at an RV site with water and electricity. I have disconnected the sewer hose until I to use it as well...
In the past I have stored my battery in our basement, hooked up to a battery maintainer. Last year I put in a 30 amp outlet next to where I park our camper. The camper is always plugged in there when were home. The battery stays charge as long as the camper is plugged in.
Is it OK to leave the...
We just found out our dealer is no longer doing indoor winter storage.
There doesn't seem to be any other storage facility that has indoor storage capability for our 2018 Force 37TS.
Our thoughts are to purchase a cover and store it in the driveway where it currently resides during the rest of...
Hi all! We picked up a Geo Pro 15TB in the spring, and were hoping to get some camping in but due to health issues were limited to two trips, bummer. Looks like next year will be better but now looking to winterize. Was looking for YouTube videos but none for our small camper. My understanding...
Just bought my first a 2007 sv180t. I need to finish winterizing it. On the sv180t is there a hose to pump the antidfreeze and where is it? I haven’t been able to get out in it as still have to raise ,my hitch on my pathfinder and get a tag.
Anyone have suggestions on winterizing. Don’t have...
Hi All, TIA for your answers. We purchased a new left over 2514F this past spring and need resources for winterization. I would like to do the air method where all the lines are blown out. Please send me specific instruction or a video on how to do this.
Gratefully,
NXB
This is my first time having to Winterize my trailer. GeneralRV of Utah has been atrocious at helping in any way.
We got a hose to connect to the Winterize Connection port of the trailer. The lines are all drained properly, but we CANNOT figure out how/where to get the water pump to start...
Hi, I have a 2019 Forest River Cherokee 26CKSE model and can’t find the suction hose for the antifreeze. My last trailer had it next to the pump.
The pump is under the sink in the bathroom and would figure the hose would be there not nothing :) pic attached.
Am I missing something?
Label under the antifreeze inlet says "Antifreeze inlet close the valve to the tank open the value to the inlet". Which tank and where is the valve to the inlet? 2022 Falstaff 25BDS. Antifreeze is not pumping from container. I am at wits end!
Thanks,
I'm a newbie to RVs. Why do most winterization videos include "blowing out" the water lines prior to pumping in antifreeze? Seems like pumping antifreeze pushes out any remaining water anyway?
My experience is with a 6gal water heater which you have to isolate from the hot water system and drain for winterization. If I am reading the manual for the GSWH-2 correctly, all I have to do is leave it in line and flush the system with non-tox at every hot faucet. Am I right?
The factory 'Low Point' label in the sink cabinet threw me off trying to do my own winterizing...but my local service tech got me back on track.
He said ignore the flimsy pin valves in that area; you don't need to use them.
There are two access points; the hot water tank diversion location is...
After dumping and flushing the black water tank, we always pump back in 5 or so gallons. For winterizing, does everyone completely drain the tank or just put some rv antifreeze down the toilet?
Also, do most leave the grey tank valves open or closed? I figure I can leave the valve open and put...
We bought a new Rockwood Freedom 1940LTD this year so will be the first year having to winterize. Will be storing inside a pole barn but not heated. This year we never used the holding tank/water pump, just city water. To winterize the water system Is blowing out the lines enough or do I need to...
I am doing my first winterization. I opened the low point drains and drained the hot and cold lines the best I could that way, and then followed up with compressed air via the city water connection to push any remaining water out each hot and cold faucet setting as well as the toilet. I also...
