New here, I inherited my dads 2005 Cardinal and I'm hooking it up for the first time. Have city water hooked up but water heater won't fill. when I open the pressure relief valve no water or air running out. What am I Missing, I don't think there is a by-pass on it. Thanks
I’m getting water behind the utility cabinet on the floor behind the hot water heater. The water heater is in foam and I don’t see any leaks around the lines going into it and out of it. The water around that area is cool like fresh water. If the hot water heater was rusted and leaking wouldn’t...
We use the RV about every 3-4 weeks for 3-7 night trips and have been keeping the water heater tank full of water during storage, only draining it at winterization and keeping it drained until springtime. Additionally, there are many trips where we won't use the water heater the entire trip. Is...
HI folks, hoping to get that one pice of wisdom that helps us resolve this issue.
This is for a new 2021 Imagine with the new electronic command center and control module.
When we first tested the water heater, electric would not work, but the propane did. We left it on electric for more than...
I'm thinking of changing my one-valve hot water heater bypass to a two-valve system. The single valve works fine for bypassing the inlet to prevent antifreeze from entering. But recently, I noticed a foul taste coming from the water heater and bypassing it didn't prevent that water from entering...
Guys my water heater is looking a little worse for wear. Any thought on any preventative maintenance on any of the visible parts to prevent a failure. I don’t have the manual for this trailer so any help identifying these parts for repair or improvement would be appreciated
Good afternoon,
I recently purchased a 2021 Rockwood Roo 233S and de-winterized it. I could not figure out how to access the rear of the water heater to turn off the bypass switch.
Does the couch lift up? Or do I need to remove/unscrew one of the wood panels to access it? Thanks in advance...
Have not fired this up yet as I am not sure how. The tank is full of water and I'm following the instructions on the right but there appears to be no 'reset' button?
I'm just holding the pilot switch down but nothing is happening.

I have a new to me 2010 coachmen northridge. There are a couple of things that I haven't been able to figure out on this 5ver.
First, the hot water heater didn't have an anode rod, just a plastic plug. I was told it was an Atwood water heater, but I can't find a switch for electric anywhere...
I noticed that there is a toggle switch on each hot water tank and an electric switch on the control panel. Do I need both switches on to get hot water or does one switch control the electric heater and one switch control the propane heater? Thanks all for your input!
Seems like time has taken its toll on my anode rod in the 2018 17B Suburban water heater. :banghead: It was so-so in early May but when I opened it to do annual maintenance on it today, the anode rod was gone and there was about 1/4" of chunks and grit on the bottom of the water tank. :confused...
Since the operation of the Suburban water heater can be electric or gas but there is no easy way to tell I've added an indicator light to my system. I found a 120v LED and hooked it to the water heater element. Made a little bracket from some scrap and used an existing screw. Can easily tell now...
I have a 2020 NoBo 16.2 and we like it. This year during startup I ran into a situation I'm not certain I had last year. Wondering what other NoBo owners experience. Briefly, the electric element when I don't expect it. Same for the gas. (Tests done with 120v shore power.) Cannot get this to...
We are out on the shakedown cruise with our new Microlite 22FBS. The water heater will not run in the electric mode. It runs fine on gas. All other 110 appliances are working fine. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot it. The manual is worthless. Thanks!
Every winter we have our rig professionally winterized and every spring the Girard on demand water heater has a busted pipe due to freezing water. We tried winterizing it ourselves one year with the same result. We live in MI. Does anyone up here get through the winter with a Girard on demand...
I have a Suburban Water Heater model SW4D or SW6D (not sure which one) and this season the water only gets warm, not hot. Any comments on what to do will be appreciated! Thanks!
When my water heater is on (in electric mode) I get a hum from my radio speakers (with the radio on). Is there any way to get rid of this without shutting the radio off or putting the water heater in propane mode?
I have a 2012 Georgetown 378 and the black tank flush is blocked. I found the check valve was installed backwards and corrected, but after so many years being inop, the sprayer seems totally blocked. I saw Iggy's photos showing the body panel raised with water heater still in place to access...
We successfully did our first RV trip, but we couldn't figure out how to turn on the water heater. We have a 287BH, there is a switch in the inside panel but it said fault when I turned it on. Any ideas?
Also when dry camping, I know you can fill up the fresh water tank to use, but will it...
Im looking at replacing our Girard Gen 1 tankless Water Heater. Im quite interested in two different models, both similar.
The Suburban Nautilus and Furrion both have a digital control, are 60,000 BTU (an upgrade from the 42,000 of the Girard). The dimensions are roughly the same, 12x12x20...
Well I had a lapse of wisdom access the other day. In other words I did something I knew I shouldn’t have after the fact..LOL. Burned out the water heater element in my Suburban water heater. Forgot to bleed the air out of it when I de winterized it and fired it up. Maybe i won’t forget...
Before I left home I plugged in to shore power and turned on the water heater electric element. Heated up just fine. When I left I turned on the propane water heater and realized some time later the water heater wasn't working, under either propane or electric (with generator). Opened up the...
