plan to start rolling this spring--my wife passed away so it will be just me and our Golden.
I'm wondering how to handle stopping at truck stop for lunch and what to do with the dog.
or where do people eat lunch while traveling--at rest stop?
I have a million ,ore questions
I have a question for the group. I've never really thought about this before.
Our trailer does not have heating strips on any of the tanks, but it does have a coroplast enclosed underbelly with a heat duct from the furnace into the underbelly. Technically it is a "heated underbelly", just...
We purchased the trailer about 10 days ago and had to driven to a storage lot (no truck yet). We've had 2 fairly decent rain storms and after each we've found water on the vent area at the back of the stove top.
The trailer has not been leveled but is only off level by a few degrees (I'm...
This winter will be the first time we head South in January in our Sunseeker 3020 DS class C. It will be two long days heading straight South in winter temperatures before we can de- winterize somewhere near Wichita KS. We are not sure what it’s going to be like trying to keep warm as we drive...
I was thinking about a winter cover for our 2015 Coachman Catalina 333 RETS. The one thing that comes to mind is mice love the dark. I am worried that covering up the trailer with a winter cover would welcome mice because of the light being shut out over the winter.
Lady Kat wanted a pen so our dogs could get outside time. Most pens were either too small or too heavy and bulky. Looking around she found some decorative 36” x48” fence panels at a yard sale and using automotive hose separators this is what she came up with.
Son sent me this pic on Sunday Sept 15th. Heading West on I-90 around Mitchell SD. Watch for signs if traveling in this area in the near future.
There is water across both lanes and as of Sunday, only one lane in each direction was open.
We will be traveling to Branson from Des Moines the first week of October and we want to drive on US 65 for a change. I'm sick of IH 35 and have driven 65 a few years ago. How is it and any recent road construction going on? I know I'll be on 80 for a bit but that's OK.
Thanks, Dave:campfire:
NewBee here, with a dumb question. I have been removing the dolly wheel after connecting to TV before traveling, reinstalling at campsite. Is this necessary or am I just making more work for my self. I only camp in RV parks or similar locations, no ruffing it.
What should be safe ground...
Hi All,
Trying to figure out two issues we're having on our 2011 Forest River Stealth trailer.
Issue #1
As soon as we turn off the generator we lose all power to everything. We used to have lights that worked, water pump, power outlets that ran off the batteries. None of that works now when...
We have a 2018 Georgetown GT-5 31R5.
Whenever we extend our Main Slide, there is a a chalky powder and a hole developing on our floor directly under where the inner edge of the slide is when retracted. A repair attempt was done last year under Warranty by installing slats under the slide. But...
New travel buddy/ car sickness
We just adopted a puppy 2 weeks ago and boy have our lives changed drastically already! She is a "Sato" which is basically a mutt, a lab mix of some kind, predicted to get to about 40 pounds, but she has pretty big paws, so we'll see. The organization we adopted...
We recently purchased a 2019 Sunseeker 3040ds. Living in the
Northwoods, we would like to head south in January. Any tips from your experiences doing this? Unsure about rewinterizing before returning home.... find dealer or do it ourselves.?
I am looking at a 2019 open range 2804rk looking for any input of how well the construction is of them and how well they are rated.any problems that anyone knows and worth buying. Any help appreciated before purchasing. Thks
Hi,
Just got a new (to us) 2017 Rockwood Mini lite 2104s. Slowly filling it up with stuff each trip. I have a decent set of tools and a couple of tool boxes in my basement (a disorganized mess), but for the trailer I was thinking of grabbing one of those 100+ piece $50 tool kits (Harbor Freight...
I recently purchased a used 2016 Forest River Salem Cruise Lite 24 foot. Prior to that I owned a new 2016 Travel Lite 14 foot. The extra 10 feet of room was a big improvement. My girlfriend and I traveled to the Grand Canyon last year in the smaller rig. It was a real pain converting the dinette...
I have a 2017 Miro Lite 21fbrs. My wife and I plan on boonddocking next month in Colorado. I have heard there are issues traveling with a full water tank due to strapping issues. The tank falls out the bottom.
Is that an issue for only certain years? We plan on bringing collapsible water jugs...
We are first time travel trailer travelers and we’re planning a long haul trip in our 30 ft trailer in Aug or Sept 2020. Does any one have a recommendation on what campsites we should stay at with power, water and a bit of nature? Thank in advance for your advise.
We are not full time, but we do a lot of boondock camping in the western US and are planning a big trip to Canada next summer. We have been looking into emergency transportation insurance that covers life flights etc. My wife and I are in good health, but we have 2 dogs that go with us...
Here’s a good question... we are new to the travel trailer scene and wonder about winterizing. We live in Iowa where freezing can begin in Oct. we are leaving for AZ in Jan.
Do we winterize in Oct and then unwinterize once we get south a ways where there is not much freezing threat?
What...
