My wife and I had a 20 Vibe it was our first TT and it was ok it was owned by forest river. Going down I 95 we had a blow out at 60mph. Major damage to the wheel, brake line and ripped the awning off. The TT data plate called for load range D tires come to find out the manufacture put load range...
Hey everyone,
I have a 2008 flagstaff ultralite 5th wheel, we have done some renovations to the interior and I am not exactly sure how much the rig weighs at this point, however I plan to pull into a truck weight station when the rig takes its next trip in mid-october. We made efforts to avoid...
Does anyone rotate their trailer tires? All 5 Carlisle tires were bought new 3 years ago. The spare still has the paper label on the tread and stays covered. I don’t cover the working tires. The drivers side tires face the sun most of the day. Passenger side tires get very little sun. All appear...
I've had Castle Rock tires on my TT since I bought it, and it's been about 2 & 1/2 years. They still look good, but one of them recently started to leak. I was going to put air in the tires, but I figured that my last TT had the china bomb blow-out(s) at around 3 years. So it's about time to...
I've had my R-Pod for a few years, but on the last two trips I noticed an occasional buzzing noise at highway speeds when I hit smooth lulls in the road. I'm not sure if this is happening during sharper impacts (like potholes, etc) - maybe it is, but it's too fast of an event for me to hear any...
I have been hunting far and wide for a tire pressure to RV weight chart and finally found it.
Click on this link and then "MICHELIN® RV Tires Brochure" https://business.michelinman.com/tires/michelin-agilis-crossclimate#specifications
For my new tires (60psi vs the 80psi listed on the MH...
After 3 years and 10,500 with my Flagstaff micro lite 21ds, I'm finally changing out tires for Goodyear endurance.
I reckon I got lucky as none of my tires blew up. Just wanted to throw that out there for those of you that are still running "china bombs"
New to forum and in forums in general.
Just purchased a 2014 XLR 27 HFS.
Going over the thing top to bottom to get it road worthy to my liking and tires are the next hot topic.
I would like to upgrade to load range E (80 psi) rated tires just for the extra confidence. It has the aluminum rims...
We’ll see where we go with this one, but you can submit your response with the original tires you got with your Class C, or what your replaced yours with. Some will obviously comment as to better or not. No comment, will assume people are happy with their voted brand.
There’s no right or...
Where is a good place to go to find a tub replacement for my 2002 Wildwood? I have seen them on line but the drain holes are all in front or in the back of the tub and I need the drain hole on the side.
Our trailer is a heavy trailer. Which tires should we be looking for? I’ve heard...
Time to replace the tires on my 2018 Forester, looking for what others have done. Considering moving up to a 121 load index but the available tires are very limited in this range. Just curious what others on this forum think and have replaced their OEM tires with. Tire size is 225/75R16 and OEM...
My Windjammer came factory equipped with Trail Express Load Range C (225/75R15) tires. When I replaced them mid-camping season during year #4 (pretty good for the LRC China bombs), I upgraded to Goodyear Marathons (Load Range D, 225/75R15). The Marathons have been absolutely great, but I have...
After one of the tires on my travel trailer tire had a deadly flat, I ended up with 3 radial tires and one regular.
Does that cause a safety problem?
Thanks
Took the TT to New Bern, NC for 3 days so we could watch a friend's daughter play in a softball tournament. While at the campground the friend's son got into some mud up to his knees. No problem just had him use the outdoor shower to clean off. Apparently I didn't get the cover locked right and...
2018 Sunseeker 2290 here with 46k miles. Second season using it. Put new rubber on all 6 wheels last summer. Have had noise coming from driver's side (can't be sure if it's front or rear) when tires are in rotation. Does not make noise when stopped. Just had all tires rotated and balanced...
When parking in between excursions, is it ok to leave the truck and camper hitched for a week or two? Should the tongue leg be put down to relieve the weight on the tow vehicle or doesn’t it matter?
I am planning on putting on better tires this next spring and would like some recommendations on what is best. I know the tires that come on the new campers are very poor. We only have a few hundred miles to pull this year and I always keep my tires covered so I should be good through this year...
We've got a 2020 Cherokee 294RR with factory installed Castle Rock tires on it with less than 2000 miles on them. While sitting at our campsite this weekend we had a tire blow in the middle of the tread while just sitting, It was 10pm at night it wasn't hot, the tires had just had the...
We live in Tampa, Fl area and looking to buy new tires for Isata 5 and alignment. Wondering if anyone near me can recommend a shop or dealership that can perform the alignment and also might honor the FMCA Michelin Advantage Program.
On our new Micro Lite it came with the TST TMPS system. It shows the tires on the rear axle running about 10 degrees hotter than the front axle tires. Seems weird to me but you RVers with more experience would know. First TT with TPMS.
Anyone else notice that the stock Westlake offroad tires that come on the Geo Pro 19FD have one tire going in one direction and the other tire going in opposite direction? Is this a install mistake?
