Has anyone added insulation around their bubble window frames? Do you put reflective insulation in the window? I was in ours and could feel the heat coming through/around the plastic frame.
I was hanging a towel bar on the outside bathroom wall and found it interesting that when I drilled the hole the only thing behind the interior wall board was AIR.
I went back to the brochure just to make sure I had not misread the specs and sure enough it says that there is supposed to be...
Has anyone used spray foam to insulate holding tanks and under belly of travel trailer? My trailer is exposed and would like to insulate. Any suggestions appreciated.
I'm looking at purchasing a used Escape 17 or 19 for use in AZ. It gets to be 115 sometimes, and I was wondering how cool I could keep an Escape in those temps. Also what are people's experiences in their trailers for extended times in hot weather?
ex: It was 100 degrees and the inside was...
Has anyone added any more insulation to the belly of a fifth wheel?
I did add a vent to the belly from the furnace but theres not much insulation to the floor of these things.
I was thinking about adding some fiberglass insulation above the plastic panel to help some?
What are everyones thoughts?
My wife and I are considering buying a 311FS Lepreachum. Since we most of the time would use it during winter as snowbirds in TX and LA, how well insulated are the Lepreachun? What is your experience as Lepreachun owner?
2010 Wildcat 5er, new to us. Evidently the previous owner had a blow-out which shredded the insulation in the wheel well. I didn't think much about it until we traveled in the rain and noted that the remaining insulation got soaked from wheel splash. I'm sure it can't be good...
Much to my dismay, Winter is here and so are the high heating bills. Any suggestions on the best way to insulate the Cardinal for some reduction in Propane costs??? I know this is general but I noticed that even after sealing the bedroom windows and some of the rest, I am still blowing thru...
Does Coachman put insulation in there front cap on class C, and if they do what insulation do they have in the front cap. Mine had no insulation. Thanks
Hi all,
I am going to be insulating the roof of my old fleet with rigid insulation. I have a question for anyone that has done this before.
This picture shows the bare roof:
So in the roof the five aluminum bars in the middle are 1.5 inch deep, while the perimeter tubing is only 1 inch...
I am wondering if anyone has tried to put spray foam insulation anywhere on their FF? I was thinking of putting a layer of window/door stuff over the wheel wells on the inside of the trailer under the table seats? I like to travel in the Fall and thought it might cut down on propane heating...
We just returned from our first trip of the summer. Things did not go very well. DH looked under the bathroom sink to get the toilet deodorizer and said there looked like spilled powdered laundry soap under there. So we looked behind the fake panel under there where the water lines are and...
Hi!
I am brand new to FF. I bought a 2007 FF X-160. It looks good and dry and clean but the previous owner had a water damage in the front and he had it repaired 2 years ago. The FF was outside all the time and yesterday we had heavy rain and the FF seems to be dry.
Nevertheless the front left...
Have an avenger ati and camping this weekend noticed that the incoming water line was dripping at the connection to the tt. tried to tighten but could not any more. Noticed under the tub the insulation was wet. My son came over and could not find any leaks in the tt. Connected to water again and...
A rodent chewed through the refrigerator roof vent of my Rockwood Roo hybrid travel trailer and made a comfy home in the fridge compartment unbeknownst to me for most of the winter. I successfully evicted it, but had to rip out all of the insulation in the compartment due to the excrement...
Down sizing from Class A DP to Forester 3011DSF.
Only real issue so far (won't pick up the unit for another week) is noise while driving. Yes, I realize the DP was much quieter and why but:
I've head others talk about adding insulation to reduce noise and possibly heat from the dog house...
Going camping this weekend. Temperature going to be in the low 20 -30 at night. Wondering what kind of insulation does anybody use on the hose that connects city water to camper.
Is there any benefit to adding extra insulation around the hot water heater and possibly insulating the hot water lines that you can access? I have a Suburban SW6D (propane only) and with three females that like their morning showers hot, my w/h is often times playing catch up. I realize the...
What is the R factor for the XLR trailers? We have a hyper lite hfs 29. It cannot be very much, we went camping last weekend and the interior walls sweat behind the dinette cushions, just about anywhere something was against the exterior wall. The furnace worked well as it held the middle and...
So a couple weeks ago I was inspecting my trailer and I noticed the belly pan was sagging in-between the screws holding it up. I looked inside with a flashlight and could make out the insulation and looked like it was just laying on the belly pan. Got busy with work and had to leave it.
I came...
I have wondered many time why the bedroom stays hot / cold when the rest is fine. For those that have the shoe box in the closet area. NOTE: there is nothing as far as insulation behind it. Just the vainer board of the box. :-/. This summer I put a wireless temp prob in the shoe box area and...
We are considering the purchase of a 2016 Wildwood T27RLSS travel trailer. I am pretty much at peace with "sticks and tin" vs. fiberglass, but I have noticed that the insulation rating is R7 all around, while many if not most other trailer brands have a higher insulation rating, especially in...
