Need some help lease I have a bad calcium build up in my hotwater line, the water is only trickeling out. How can I get the calcium build up out?

My Suburban hot water heater is electric and prophane. The previous owner must have let the electric element get burned out. Is it a big deal to just let it run on prophane and not mess with the electric element replacement? Thanks, Mike 2017 27rkss Wildwood
