Lid for outdoor gas grill on 26 MBRR

Usually you have a lid on a gas grill, I realize due to space limitations it wouldn't be practical to have a lid on the outside gas grill. Anyone have an idea on how to get one to set over it while cooking on the grill that you could just lift on and off?

    Gas Barbeque Queastions

This seems to be the right place to ask. We rarely barbecue, and tossed the old somewhat corroded outdoor grill we had a few years ago that used lava rocks. This year we have cooked all of our own meals, and have barbecued a few times using the portable we carry in the MH. It's a Sunbeam unit we...

    Replace broken gas line?

Hi everyone. Long time fan. First post. I have a 2016 Freedom Express 29se. Something chewed through my main gas line. It is easy to disconnect up by the tank but impossible to disconnect by the distribution box under the trailer that splits it out to all of the separate appliances. Looks...

Can't light pilot on gas-only water heater

In final stages of shaking down recently acquired 2010 Coachmen Clipper pop-up. A week or so ago I successfully fired up the water heater -- gas-only Suburban, SIT-610 Ac3 -- but because the bypass valves were set wrong, didn't get any hot water to the sink. Couldn't access those valves; they're...

    Gas motorhomes fueling hassle?

I almost hesitate to post this as it's an age old discussion- gas vs. diesel. I've towed a lot and have spent the last 10 years in > 42' fifth wheels. Now that we aren't fulltiming, we're talking about getting something a little more nimble. At the moment, we're kicking around the idea of a...

    Smell propane

When we use the propane stove in our Rockwood A122s there is a stronger gas smell well after the stove is lit than I would expect. Note, our flame is ready before we turn the stove on to light it. We keep a few windows open when we use it. Eventually the smells goes away, but seems odd. Anyone...

    Best small gas grill?

So I'm seeing lots of new options for a portable gas grill. Any opinions on the best/worst out there? We've been using the old black box with the lava rocks on the bottom and the small side bottle for too long. Time for an upgrade! And yes, I know charcoal is superior. I prefer the convenience...

    Gas problems

East coast fuel shortage? Anybody on the road can comment on the current fuel situation? We're leaving the Tampa Bay area Wednesday AM returning to MD, up the I-95 corridor. No problems at all getting fuel in the Tampa area, but there are reports of big fuel problems in Pensacola and...

    cardboard gasket for shower drain?

Shower drain started to leak. Determined that putty/sealant/gaskets for the drain next to the shower floor (pan) had failed. I mention all those things since they are all present. In addition to a black, flexible gasket, I see what looks likes a cardboard one. A spacer? They used a...

Dometic refrig. DM2872RBX works on gas only

My refrigerator has stopped working on 110 shore power. It runs fine on gas. I have 110v at the plug. Have 110v across the glass fuse. Was able to determine that there is 110v to one side of the element (but did not check other side). Any thoughts?

    Head gasket

Folks. Need some motor heads. I took out our SunSeeker from storage and was doing oil change. I began to loosen the pan bolt and about two turn in a few drops of clear water fell from the bolt area. My first thoughts were “oh no” did we blow a head gasket? Then got the bolt out and oil...

Using RV LP for gas grills

I have a Nexgrill #820-0033 2-Burner Portable Propane Gas Table Top Grill and was trying to hook it up to my RV LP quick disconnect bypassing the grill regulator. I have tested it and it seems to work just fine. Just wanted to make sure I was not in danger. If so can you explain how and why?

    Fuel mileage (gas vs diesel)

Fuel mileage (gas vs diesel question) Not sure if this is the right spot for this (mods move/delete if need be). Also, not exactly RV related, but applicable. I’ve gone on two, 2500 mile round trips with my 7x16 enclosed trailer (2020 Arising. Pulling with my 2015 Ram 1500 5.7L Crew cab...

    Lifetime diesel May go gas!

I’ve owned mostly all diesel trucks since 2000 when I got my drivers license I used diesel trucks for my landscaping business because it made sense. Up until the last 10 years they were fairly easy to work on. Now my newest truck is a 2012 ram 3500 and it has nickel and dimed me for the last 2...

Dometic RM3962 LP Gas Lockout Error

Have a new Isata 5 28ss with 3962, 120V and Propane reefer. Refrigerator works well on 120V. On gas, it quickly ends up with the temp / LP flashing, indicating LP gas lockout error. On LP, the flame immediately lights, but the ignitor keeps running continuous ignition cycles until the error...

    Refrigerator stopped working on gas

While doing a system check for an upcoming trip, I discovered that the gas part of the Dometic fridge wasn't working. After determining that all the other gas elements worked fine, I figured that the fridge was the problem. When I put it on gas, I could hear the igniter and hear the gas...

    Gas Struts/Cylinders

This is a rudimentary question I know, but I have been looking on line everywhere and can’t get my question answered. I even went to camping world to seek help and they were not helpful at all, saying they couldn’t look up parts by make and model. (Is this true?) I have 2005 Forest River...
