Finally!!!! It was a lonnnnng wait but after ordering my Hawk Shell in late 2/16 it arrived and we have been on the maiden voyage. I know this is WTW but there are a few Eastcoasters who love the site and would not know the first thing about this world without the website.
My rig:

WTW,
I have a Tacoma and just purchased a FWC Eagle shell. I also just found out I'll be moving to Germany for a 3 (possibly 6) year stay. I'll be shipping the truck and camper to Germany in March. I'm now prepping the truck and have a few questions I hope you all could answer.
I’m looking...
I'm sure it's a long-shot, but thought I would post and see if there might be anyone out there that has or knows of one up for sale. Looking for a FWC Raven with AC the other options are not as important, but from what I hear FWC reinforces the wall for AC so it needs to have come from the...
Considering the FWC Grandby with Front Dinette configuration...
How are you storing food and supplies?
Anyone carrying kayaks/canoe on top of the camper? Photos?
Anyone carrying cargo on top of the camper? Photos?
From these photos here are my thoughts:
Lots of little compartments (not...
This has been the condition of my camper since I can remember. I picked it up in November 2015 and didn't pay that much attention to the top for a few weeks maybe. I assume because it is aluminum it is difficult to bend and fit and there will be minor dents and what-not, but figured I'd ask if...
We are a couple from Poland with small kid. We were travelling around US and Canada for 6 month in 2015 with North Star pop up camper put on Toyota Tacoma. We decided to sell the rig in Autumn because we had to come back home...
Hi WTW, sorry to add another electrical topic. I'm getting a Hawk Shell soon which will have essentially nothing electrical apart from the truck system connected to the lights and an AC with nowhere to plug in. I plan to use a Honda 2000 Generator or Shore power often.
My intended electrical...
I know it's a long shot but if anyone has or knows of an FWC Hawk or Raven (prefer a Raven) shell for sale I'd like first crack at buying it. I'm located in Colorado and in the shipping industry so I could have it shipped to me from anywhere. I have a 2010 Toyota Tundra Crewmax that I am...
My boat is clean, only 400 hrs on original boat and motor, freshwater only. Cabin has portahead (not used), v-berth for 2 people, stove, sink, view ports, ceiling vent. It is a fishing boat boat with recessed rod holders, livewell, 2 vhf radios, many wet and ry compartments, never bottom...
Hi, just joined and love the dialogue. I have a Hawk shell on order with the couch on driver's side to not obstruct the window. I now realize how little storage space this will leave me there will be virtually no room for cabinets, heater, stove, sink if I want to do that. Can the couch be...

Hello, I am selling the camper below, this is a copy and paste from a December post by one of my best friends Scott. I convinced him to sell/loan me the camper for a winter trip with the family as a trial run. I put it on my 2005 Tacoma. It was awesome but just a little tight for 3.5 of us! Im...
Hello all,
In the process of putting together a Fleet Flatbed and have been wanting to pose a general question to the community:
How many owners have flatbeds? I'm pretty uncertain of the number that have been built. I've seen quite a few hawks on Ram's, and a few Tacoma fleet builds. To my...
Hi all,
I'm trying to put together a plan for an overland camping rig that will fit my family. There are lots of great builds on this forum that are giving me inspiration, and my current plan is a Ram 3500 with a flatbed FWC Hawk.
The only issue is that I really want this thing to sleep 4. My...
Greetings wanderers,
I am a soon-to-be owner of a 2010 fwc hawk. Very excited is an understatement.
It does not have a furnace. However, I've learned fwc pre frames/wires campers for a furnace IF (and it's a big if) I can find the same furnace used in 2010:
Atwood hydro flame 8012-ii (also...
2003 Eagle FWC + 2001 S-10
We are upgrading to a larger FWC and are selling our Eagle. We are the second owners and purchased it from a senior couple in California on September 30, 2009. The former owner bought it new from the factory. It came on another vehicle, however we sold it and...

Hello, new to the forum here and still researching. Looking at trying to narrow down a decent 3/4 ton with a larger cab and 6 - 6.5' bed for a used FWC or ATC. I am however, still debating on the bed size and whether or not to get an ATC or FWC, it will largely depend on what comes up used but...
Hello all, after much though I am going to sell our turn key overland rig. This has been a great rig for the last 5 years. It has never let us down, gone everywhere we have wanted to go and comfortable for hundreds of miles at a time. This is a turn key, add your food, clothing and bedding, it's...
Before getting into our rebuild it’s worth mentioning our motivation for going the route we did. My wife and I are backcountry skiers, and love to travel! After we finished college in WI we moved to CO and took a year off before I started graduate school. She found work in her field and after a...
FWC Hawk shell, cut down 3 inches to fit shorter bed rails of 2003 era Toyota Tundra. Name as such is a Kestrel. Can be put on a regular, short bed truck if a platform is built/used. (Think storage)
Rig has a Power roof fan (Fantastic Fan), rear wall steps, additional driver side louvered...
Our 2008 Hawk has the stock FWC rear porch light with amber lens. I replaced the bulb with an LED replacement several year ago. My problem is that the switch is intermittent. Sometimes I will flip it a dozen times and it will come on. Other times, I can't get it to work at all. I've poked...
