My new 5th wheel has a Suburban SW10DE water heater that will run on 120V, and a built-in Onan 5500 generator. Does the generator supply power to the water heater, or is the WH only 'electric' with shore power? Thanks!

I am worried that at some point in time the switch on the electric lift will get pressed at the wrong time (when latched or when braced). ETA: This is for the roof lift. I'd like to put some switch protector or guard to prevent accidental activation. Any ideas? Thanks.
