Has anyone else noticed if both frame rails on the front a-frame sit even on both sides? Mine is about 3 degrees or 1/4" lower on the driver (street side). There are no indications of broken welds or bends in the a-frame or where it attaches to the front crossmember section. Is this acceptable?
I just got my rockwood A-Frame last week and noticed theres a small indent with a circle mark at the top middle of the door.I looked when the roof panels are lowering but can't see where the roof would cause it.
Started in the 70's with Van camping then moved up to slide in truck camper in the 80's,in late 80's bought an Marathon 5th wheel then mid 90's bought a Air Stream 5th wheel,in 2005 we got a 2004 Holiday Rambler Presidential 37' 5th wheel that we used for many trips Fort Wilderness about 7 times...
Has anyone ever put together an "Idiot's Guide" to Rockwood A-Frames (specifically A122s)? Particularly a YouTube video? A recent posting that has since been deleted sparked the thought that a lot of A-Framers are like me. We didn't get a walk-through at a dealership. We are the third owners of...
Just returned from a 2500 mile trip out to Utah and back. 5000 mile total.
Noticed when lowering trailer onto hitch, a-frame flexing upwards >< 1".
Not exactly sure what tongue weight is but, try to pack light.
Now appears when disconnected that the tongue of trailer has taken a slight upwards...
I was wondering if anyone who owns this camper has weighed it loaded up.I was also wonder what your hitch weight is with filled tanks and batteries. Thanks
Noticed that when my A122S is stored outside in the folded position rain water lays on top if trailer is parked level. Therefore, would it not be better to store it with a slope to encourage water drainage off the top?
We made it back from our 9 day whirlwind relatively unscathed. 2750+ miles and 57+ hours of drive time, massive headwinds in Kansas, 4 mountain passes and we lived to tell the tale. Even ended up picking up another dog while we were out.
We stayed at 3 different campgrounds and also by my...
I searched but didn't find any threads on the A-frames. I'm looking at a barely used one of these models, and wondered if anyone had any experience with this or other models. It's not my first choice but it'll fit under my 9' aluminum carport awning, and looks to be less cumbersome to...
First off, thanks so much for this forum, and I’m certain it will be invaluable to me as we find our way around these delightful little homes away from home. My son in law and I found our way home with our new, 2016 hold over 194HW. I believe it will enhance our summers quite well.
True to...
I am a HTT owner. We have a Roo 233s, but my in laws are thinking about investing in an A-Frame and I told them to get a Rockwood for sure because we have been so happy with ours.
Wanting any advice I can pass on to them. They are an older retired couple. Just them. No kids. No pets. Just...

Does anyone know of a company offering covers for just the a-frame portion of a travel trailer? Am looking for such a cover to go over the coupler, wash hardware, propane tanks, and batteries when parked in campgrounds or pad at home when I don't want to go to the trouble of a full cover.
I've...
Moded our A213HW king bed configuration into a flip bed.
One reasons we bought the A213HW was we could have a king size bed without crawling over each other to get in and out. The downside was lack of access to the under bed storage. Turning it into a flip bed with gas springs fixed that.
It...
I have a 2016 Forest River Viking Legend-V12RB.
There are a few modifications and additions that I would like to make to my trailer. However various structural reinforcements are hidden behind wood sheeting, aluminum, and fiberglass coverings. I am looking for any drawings on where wood or...
There is a current thread:
http://www.forestriverforums.com/forums/f221/flagstaff-t21tbhwse-thoughts-152399.html
where a poster states: "a fair number of owners claiming that the aluminum edging where the lift is attached warps badly or even worse, the entire roof panel buckled and is visible...
Thought I'd start a new thread since my last one went long and kind of got hijacked! :)
All of my updates to this list will be added as new posts at the bottom of the thread. Please see updates there.
I've had my A122THESP in the driveway for a week now and have yet to go camping in it but...
