An unloaded truck can practically get stuck in wet grass, even with a locker. It's all about traction. No weight + highway tires + ramp slime = ain't goin' nowhere.

Note: it has 583k miles. The 700 is miles to empty. Looks in good shape though.

Well it's a truck and you're converting it, right :D I've heard of people getting an "accordion boot". I believe that there are two thicknesses, the bigger for when the cab is air ride, the smaller for when the cab is fixed. That's the end of my knowledge but it should give you some search...

I'd be very wary renting a vehicle of this size and quality. Notice that the ones rented by _______ are small and cheaply made/cheaply fixed.

You hook the dolly to the tractor, go get the second trailer, place that set in a good place. Then you hook the first trailer, now back the front trailer so the hitch on the back of it hitches to the dolly. It takes a lot with some room.

The problem is now you've introduced another pivot point. Have you ever tried to back a hay wagon? Forget about it.

On a pipe that long it's important to keep the velocity up. I probably would've done the same.

I carry a set made from 25´ welding cables. Never failed me yet and the length is worth it. I made my nearly 20 years ago from damaged cable my boss was throwing out. Added 4 heavy ends and paid him for the copper.

I have not done any research but would love to see a jump box that could start a heavy truck.

Uplink make a tiny unit that can be wired to any truck. I've put them in several dump trucks and mixers. They even have a "ping as you go"plan that basically sits there until you need it. I think it's only 10 pings a month, but if you're only worried about finding a stolen truck it's perfect.
