I did the northern shopping tour yesterday. RV surplus, Factory RV surplus, and Bontragers. IMHO, there was no comparison. Bontragers had more inventory than the Elkhart shops combined. I got a new sofa for $225. Cant beat that. I found all sorts of doodads as well. I will definitely call them...

gps - I bought a Rand McNally 7 inch RV gps. it has some of the same benefits of the truck version, but also has rv camping spots and attractions. I like it. I had a garmin. it was nice too, but the map updates were killing me. now you can get lifetime map updates

Sound to me like you are setting the whole system on 12 batteries. If so, then all you need to is have something to charge the batteries. The main engine with a strong alt and then either a 12V generator or a generator with a battery charger. Is that what you are doing, or did I miss it?

sounds like you are working a good plan. I looked into the APU myself years ago, but by time they were professionally installed they were very expensive. The popularity of them has brought down the price. I think that is a good option.
