It looks like there is a die for 2/0 in the picture? It's labeled 00 isn't it? And the 0 is in the tool jaw. I've got the same crimper from Harbor Freight. I used it for several crimps and it worked great.

Single rear axle vs. tandem axle towing

Wow, I've never seen something like that. Looks pretty cool. Looks like the trailer would be pretty close to the box though. No tight turns.

    Interstate speed

I rented one once. Don't know what drivetrain it had. But it was positively screaming to get to 55 mph. Maybe they're better now?

Single rear axle vs. tandem axle towing

Sorry about missing out on those ones. I've missed out on tons of vehicles that I thought I would buy. Turns out every time that happened actually worked out for the best for me. I didn't realize you're pulling a gooseneck trailer. That solves that for me. Get a Toterhome. I know there are...

Single rear axle vs. tandem axle towing

Will they let you try hooking up your trailer and pulling it down the road a bit? Like to the nearest scale? If not then next best thing would be to figure out how much tongue weight your trailer has. You can do that by weighing your rear axle with the trailer hooked up, and not hooked up. Then...

    Mating can to box.

You wanting to cut a hole through from the cab to the box? I think there are places you can buy the accordian boot gasket to do that. Probably google would help find those?

One of several reasons why I changed out my propane fridge for a residential one.

How big of a Garage should I build

More problems getting the picture to show up. I wish I had a teenage kid around.

How big of a Garage should I build

Way too small. Mine is 18' by 90'. And it's too small. 16' high ceiling. I think the door is 14' high? I've got a door at each end. Works great that way. I wish I had 24' wide though. It's actually a bit shy of 18' so not wide enough to park something next to my rig. You don't actually need a 50...

    suprise in my parking lot

That is way cool. No cares for practicality Don! It's like all the people driving H1's around Beverly Hills. But I bet this guy actually does take that thing on some rough roads. How do you think he gets a sidexside in that garage?

    45' moving van conversion

Best information might be found here: HDT - Escapees Discussion Forum There are some threads at the top there that probably have the info you need. My .02, forget about "commercial" if you aren't using this for anything "commercial." From your description it doesn't sound like you intend to...

Ski Bum Truck V2.0, F450 Rough Road RV

I think you're going to have a stinky drain hose then, aren't you? I always dump the black tank first, and then the grey water washes the inside of the accordian hose. When I'm draining the grey I shake the hose around to wash it out.

Cool video! Funny how they blurred out the name on the side of the truck.

Looks great. I have absolutely no building skills so I love seeing other people able to do stuff like this.

    Rv inverter

I've got a 2k Xantrex running just my refrigerator. I also have a 600 watt one running my two flat screens, dvd player, surround sound, and phone/laptop chargers. I run them on my 4 golf cart (6 volt) batteries. I can run everything for quite awhile before needing to charge up.

Are you putting in a grey water tank too? I thought the picture awhile ago showing the black tank had just a straight outlet from it to the valve?

This looks like it can tow!

Wow, $23,580! Sold! For that low of a price it should be able to be fixed up pretty well. Yes, Don is correct. Why would a conversion make faults show up? Sounds like bull to me. I wouldn't worry too much about the mileage on it though. Most Detroit 60's are good for almost 1m miles aren't they...

    Truck Scaffold?

Yes, not cheap. I actually bought that 14' step ladder first just so I could get up on top of my coach to look around. I don't like to walk on the roof so I don't use the ladder on the back of it. Then I decided I needed a way to get to that overhang so bought the Little Giant ladder and plank.

Just in case the picture doesn't show up the way I tried to post it.

    Truck Scaffold?

I don't like the idea of trying to stand on the valve cover. And, I don't have a long enough wingspan to reach the entire front of the cab overhang from that point anyhow. This is how I clean mine. The plank is from Little Giant. It's pretty solid and works real well. One additional thing not...

    truck or bus conversion?

And actually 80k is conservative. I was talking to a truck driver in Michigan about weight. Michigan allows much heavier loads than most states. He said he ran a truck with the exact same C12 engine and 10 speed trans my camper has and he was always 150k lbs. He said it worked fine. Now...

For the tail light plates. How about welding bolts to those flanges there on each side. Then drill holes in your plates. Slip the plates onto the studs (bolts you welded in) and spin some nuts down.
