Exactly what I had in mind- get a van box(like Supreme) and then have someone do the inside. I doubt I'm blazing new trails here, but it WILL get me what I want. It seems you're pretty stoked on the Incinolet(sp?); maybe gonna hafta do some research on that one. You make some good points about...

Hey Geof- My harping on Peterbilt and Cummins misspells weren't aimed at you, just those others who oughtta know better. I agree about putting into the rig only what one needs; matterafact, most of the floorplans I look at are those used for toters, that is, without a rear bedroom, as most...

Yeah, I even printed a BIG photo of it to remind me how NOT to do my rig! I try not to look at it right after eating anything..... Oh,and while I'm on the subject(well sorta...) what's with guys misspelling Peterb"U"ilt and Cummin"G"s? If they know of which they speak, they would have seen the...

I can guarantee one thing; using only materials bought at Home Depot, SOMEONE should be able to build something WAAAAY better looking than the example in question here. Rigs like this tend to make Home Depot look bad.......

    International MDT conversion for sale

Just look at it this way: The C-10 (now C-11) and C-12(now C-13) are based on the same architecture as the 3176 of days past. Our Peterbilt 377 feed truck has a C-10 in it, and it is most definitely a Class 8 truck. The C-7, on the other hand, is based on the same architecture as the 3126 of a...

    Height/length issues

It would depend entirely on the wheelbase of the unit in question, which could vary widely within any overall length envelope. A short WB on a unit with a lot of front and/or rear overhang would of course turn a lot tighter than the same length unit with the axles closer to each end of the unit...

Hey Geof, NO midsize comes with a C-12 Cat; C-7(or 3126) yes, but no C-12. It's too heavy for a midsize.

    International MDT conversion for sale

kblackav8or- If you feel you must go retro on the truck, avoid the pre-Daimler Freightliners; their assembly quality is dismal, in that you will never know for sure if either door is fully closed, as they will rattle as if they aren't. Even if they are! It can't be adjusted out either. You may...

1986 Kenworth stubby conversion on ebay.

Hey, now that you mention it, my future rig will probably have all laminate cabinetry & woodwork, along with ozite for just about everything else where practical. It WILL be a low-maintenance setup! A housekeeper I ain't!

    Other Big Rig Stuff

I checked out the Jexcar site while at work (hey it's OK; we're family...) and was impressed with the types of rigs they do. There are three locations listed to call for info, but I am curious as to which is the "main plant" or headquarters. I was personally intrigued by the tractor units on...

1986 Kenworth stubby conversion on ebay.

I was actually thinking of the diamondplate for those lower areas that might be prone to the occasional kick. Yeah, I also believe it has to be functional, or it won't make the form! Ol' Ernie really knew how to say it, huh? Later, man! Gary

Windows in sleeper section of truck questions.

What's being discussed here is what I would like to do on my future rig. I was thinking about doing what Warpath was originally going to do, to a point, in that I would put a couple of captains chairs and bay windows in a 38-48" sleeper and treat it as sort of an "extended cab". In back of that...
