A trip to Showhauler - Wow!

WP, a couple of things to consider with the garage unit. I have the ramp door, most companies also offer a lift gate. Also, the garage can be any size, design the garage around the vehicle. For example if I was designing for a mid size car I might design the garage with a low deep pocket in...

WP, one more thing, when I do it again I will figure out a different Master Bed setup, we currently have about 5' HT, ducking gets a little old. Maybe some kind of raised roof, not sure yet but I am THINKING.......

A trip to Showhauler - Wow!

WP and LEO, It's great to have some good TC conversations, I could talk about them all day, I am probably most happy driving and being in my Rig....WP, I will always have a garage unit, the ability to keep things around 45 ft including the car is something I really like. I am even surprising...

A trip to Showhauler - Wow!

More photos please....also WP, in your research what differences do you think there are between SH and Renegade.... I know Harley at Renegade, he used to work at Silver Crown, they built my Rig, they closed and Harley went to Renegade. When the time comes for me (and it will) SH and Renegade are...

Some things that really bug me on conversions

WP, thanks for creating this forum, it's nice to have a TC site, we are a relatively small group and info is limited. That step is nice, if I build a Rig, I will be using it. Currently I have an automatic step but the notch is only about 2" tall so you hardly notice it, having full body paint...

    Road Trip

Yea Bob, even though it wintered in Myrtle beach the nights got cold and the batteries went unattended for 3 months at a clip. I will be adding a small solar panel to keep the batteries charged when in storage.G

    Road Trip

Hot Rod, you are the closest to the problem, I show up this weekend, walk around the Rig, pass the compartment that houses the house batteries, notice one of the battery covers on the ground, WTF, that should not be, open the door, front battery blown wide open, acid and Residue everywhere...

    Road Trip

Just a quick check in, just moved the Rig up from Myrtle Beach to Connecticut, took I 95 the whole way, that road is a mess. We maintained about 70 mph the whole time, smooth as silk, I love driving my truck..Always on the look out for other conversions, heading southbound I saw 2...

    Shower surround

3/8" can be fragile to handle, cut and drill with Diamond blades and drill bits. As pointed out the weight is more considerable than composites. Yes you can adhere to walls in the shower, depending on what surface you are attaching to, flex bond thin set is typically used. For countertops you...

    Roof Material

I think some may still use rubber, we use rubber in certain residential and more commonly in commercial settings..Rubber is a good material but I don't think it will hold up as well as fiberglass or aluminum. UV seems to break down the integrity of rubber quicker than other choices. That being...

    HDT suspensions

Dick, my Rig has a garage, I have air suspension in the rear. A switch on my dash lowers the rear to allow for easy loading an unloading of the car. We also have Bigfoot levelers, 4 big pads come down remotely and can lift the entire Rig off the ground. G
