How come I rarely see big windows in the sleeper sections of the conversions that have passenger seating?

Windows open up an enclosed space and gives a great view that can always be covered by curtains if you want privacy.

Why aren't I seeing more of this modification?

Anyone have any photos of sleepers with big windows...?

....good question there Bravest....I never though about it...must be like a dark tunnel inbetween the cab and coach....what is in there any way - just seating?....geofkaye

Generally, the problem has been flat windows and curved walls. The inner framing on the sleeper also makes installation a problem. I can't decide if the limited cross section is better than a full box or not. It looks nice to have the smooth transition, but I'd rather have a full 8X8 ft cross section over those 5-6 ft.
The Triton we have been seeing goes about 18" behind the passenger seat, and blends in about as well as any I have seen.

What's being discussed here is what I would like to do on my future rig. I was thinking about doing what Warpath was originally going to do, to a point, in that I would put a couple of captains chairs and bay windows in a 38-48" sleeper and treat it as sort of an "extended cab". In back of that would be the coach, probably using an 18' FRP freight box.
Just my .02, as usual.....

....If I replace the Volvo in 3 more years or so-I'd like to have a crewcab with a center isle to a toter[4 seats]....with a 36" liftgate on the toter for my old butt and probably new knees by then....then a tag trailer with a V-nose again....have to get Randy Butler started on thinking about it one of these days...The Sterling came back at $86,000 without me making cuts so we will start the game on a rainey day......Only issue that is bothering me is the length of the tractor toter...manuvering is a bitch at that length.....geofkaye
