Teak and Holly, Teak Decking, Diamond Plate Vinyl Flooring link.

I spent a few days at the sailboat show in Oakland and one of the more interesting things I saw was the vinly floor material that looks just like Teak and Holly floors that are put in expensive sailboats/powerboats.

this company says $7.50/sq ft or 6'side = $45 per lineal foot. Is this a lot of money compared to other vinyl flooring?

If you had a walk on roof, you could put this stuff on it and when people see it they would be amazed if you told them it was teak. You could brag and say that it took you years to complete... Just don't let them touch it.

When standing on it, you are unable to tell the difference from real wood. I think it looks really cool.

Anyone have this in their conversion, home, office...?

I liked the "teak" for outdoor applications. Inside, I've become a fan of natural materials that provide less off-gassing of toxins. We use wood (of course), 100% rubber (Pirelli, Norament, Johnsonite), or Marmoleum (brand of linoleum - made from flax). All are affordable and can be detailed to be quite beautiful. We are about to install a cork floor in our latest project. I'm looking forward to seeing how it comes out.
