My son drives semi truck over the road. He's been using a 5 cu. ft. freezer to keep frozen food in. He's got a dorm size thermal electric fridge too, as well as a microwave. We put in a big inverter to power it all. The freezer is a couple years old. It just took a crap on him. We're guessing it's just not up to the pounding of going down the road. The first fridge we put in was a normal type and that didn't last more than about a year. That's why we got the thermal one since there's no moving parts in those. I don't think they make thermal freezers tho do they? Any ideas or advice here? We've got to work quick 'cuz he's only home for two days and then back on the road. Thanks.

.....Military had some-but I don't have any now cuz Roger Crushed them for copper/aluminum.....I use a home style unite and put 2" of carpet foam under it and 2" carpet foam on the inside to keep the pounding to a minimum.....4 years now and I haven't had any problems with mine it is A WOOD BRAND FREEZER....came from Lowe's for $159.00 out the door-top loader-no coils on back-strapped in with small binder belts....geofkaye and da RIVERCITY GIRLZ.....

Well, the top loader doesn't fit where he needs to put it. We ended up buying an Avanti 3.5 cu ft for about $200 at a local appliance store. We also bought the 10 extended warranty for $25. I bet we get our money's worth from that. Little do they know, hahahahahaah.

....GOOD PLAN BOB.....JUST REMEMBER TO TAKE IT OUT OF THE TRUCK FOR "REPLACEMENT"......hehehe....geofkaye + Rivercity Girlz and still use the 2" thick carpet padding inside and out.......they don't know......
