Hey all,
My name is Harold and i am new to Truckconversion.net. I have a 1980 International S1854 Bucket Truck that i want to convert to a multipurpose truck. I bought the truck about 3 years ago for my sign business. Only paid $2000 for the truck. Once the bad economy hit i was forced to close the business. I still kept my bucket truck with intention to convert it into maybe a over sized pickup. Well i am currently working on building a shop in my back yard for my new Powder Coating business, and I've decided to convert my bucket truck into a flatbed/stake body. I can use the truck for picking up parts and also use it to move my powder coating display and haul my car trailer to car shows so i can advertise my business. I have found a few write-ups on the ford diesel forums of people building their own flatbeds. I'm sure i can also find more information and get some help on this site as well. I am glad to have found a forum like this and cant wait to meet a bunch of conversion enthusiasts!
