I have been looking at the Super C's
Kingsley out of my price range
Haulmark is the one we keep going back too.

I have alway liked this type of motor home with all the headroom inside because I am 80" tall.
I also was under the impression with a 10/12 speed automatic trans I would get better mpg's.
I had the feeling that the rig was somewhat safer in an accident. I do not know if the above is correct but that was my gut feel.

We would only tow a toad. no real heavy towing.

But I have a few question.

1.I would estimate driving 15K miles per year. Do the "C" get better MPG?

2. Some concerns about 4 season camping or extended living?

3. Are the "C" safer in accidents?

4. Anyone fulltiming with a "C"?

Thanks for any replies

There was an accident last weekend outside Atlanta where a converted bus rammed into the back of a tractor-trailer pinning the driver. He was critically injured and after extraction lost both legs above the knees.

Those Eagle(?) buses are built pretty sturdy. The driver probably would not have fared as well in a manufactured motorhome.

Having a truck conversion's engine compartment in front would seem even safer than a bus plate glass window. Some tractor cabs (Volvo) have a safety crush zone feature where the engine and transmission drop below the rails with frontal high impact so that the Cummins doesn't end up in your lap.

The above pictures might be the strongest arguments for a Super C TC over a manufactured class A motorhome.

For over 25 years I logged 35K+ miles per year working in operation. Also in 40+ years of driving I have been in 3 totals and one fender blender that samed to hurt the most. Safety is always a concern.

Thanks
