Does anyone know where I could get a 2" receiver attachment for our style tag hitch. (40,000 lb tag hitch) Occasionally I want to carry a pit bike without hauling a trailer. If not I'll have one made, just wasn't sure if someone makes one now.

Good question. I saw a couple of people at Dyatona with bike hauler on SHowhaulers and Renegades but never did get a chance to go look and see if they were mounted to a 2" receiver or a custome mount to the current hitch. They did have the same basic hitch we do.

Originally, I was thinking about having a whole new hitch made with a 2" receiver instead of just a ball.

But even better was to add a 2" receiver to the hitch, so I can carry a pit bike, and still haul the SUV on the main hitch.

I will take a picture when I get everything all hitched up in a week or so.

It was done in a image program I use.

The hitch company around the corner is certifing it as 1000 lbs. Although they where very concerned that I would be using it to tow with after I showed them a picture of my rig. I explained to them there is no reason to tow with that since I have the ball right there. They just didn't want to see me toting around a big trailer on that 2" box reciever.

I bought a Honda Ruckus for touring around some of the race courses I go to and that thing only weights in about 250 lbs. So I will throw that on the back when it does not make sense to haul around my 20' trailer. I will say if your ever looking at a scooter the Honda is 4 stroke vs. the Yamaha and it really has some good power for a 50cc bike.

Kingsley is making another plate for me so that I can interchange the 2 5/16" ball plate and the 2" reciever plate as I need. I need the 2" plate so I can dinghy tow our Yukon XL when we don't need to have our stacker.

Sweet! I'm running into the same problem, It would be nice to use a 2" ball for some trailers and flat towing either the Jeep or the F350. How much is it and will they make another and sell it to me?

I had the same problem. In order to tow my 3/4 ton Chevy Crewcab, I needed a heavy duty tow bar and they only make these for a reciever hook-up, no ball. I had a local blacksmith fabricate a new hitch that will tow up to 10,000lbs. The problem is having 2 hitch plates or using the new reciever for towing my race car trailer, which is OK.
