LED, Light Emitting Diode, lighting for conversion questions.

How come conversions aren't using these LED bulbs? If you just need a small amout of lighting, you could run them off a set of house batteries for a long time without having to run the generator.

They are sort of expensive now, but they won't burn out and are very energy efficient.
