I just got back from my two weeks leave from Iraq. Only a few more months to go till I leave here for good! Anyways, while on leave I bought a 1994 International 4700 with a DT360 hooked to an Allision AT500. While not the engine and tranny I wanted, it was way too good of a deal to pass up. During my leave I managed to move the rear axle to my desired wheelbase and bolt it all in place. When I get home I will tackle the drive shaft. It is a double frame truck, with 22.5" wheels. It has only 107k miles and runs great (better than my old 7.3 idi). Any opinions about things to look out for? Advice on this drivetrain? Thanks...

That's pretty cool that you had time to get the truck and even do a major job on it. Congrats. I don't know anything about that truck/drivetrain, sorry. I hope everything is going well for you in Iraq. My son was there for about a year, got home this past summer. He's an 88M (Transportation) with the Army Reserve. Drives HETS. He was based at Q-West. Drove all over hauling stuff on the HETS. I think a HETS would make a great truck conversion, hahahahaahah.

Sorry for the topic hi-jack. This seems to be a pretty laid back forum so I figured I wouldn't get into too much trouble with it. Keep up the great work over there.
