HI all just joined. I bought a 2007 Freightliner toter home with a 14 foot Renegade. I'm in the process of fixing it up to live in down in Florida this winter. I'm sure it's not going to be big enough for me to live in after I sell my house next year. My question is are there anyone else with these with advice? Thanks

Trich,

We have a 42' Renegade and are living in it while we remodel a house, and we stayed two months in Florida so we love it! So out of this year I guess we have been the Renegade for 7 months.

I have been looking at the renegades and also some others and really like them. I live in Illinois and found this one in northern Indiana at a good price I think. I'm going to get it in tip top shape and sell it in the spring.

Welcome to the forum, you found the right place for truck conversions. 14 ft box, with I assume an over-cab bunk will still be pretty tight. You can do it, but that size limits your storage and space inside.

Yes 38 Chevy it will be tight. I was first going to pull a 40 foot New Horizon 5th wheel. I went to their factory for a tour in KS. I was impressed but after I bought this to pull it I decided I wanted a tc instead. I lost my wife to cancer earlier this year so it will just be the dog and I. We will make this work for this winter and look for something bigger next spring. Maybe a custom build but not sure yet. I think I will full time as I have a 4k sf. house and it's too big for me and I can live on the road for what I pay in property tax! Sorry for rambling on but that's my story and I'm sticken to it!

Welcome to the Forum from me too. I'm very sorry for your loss. I think you will be fine living in it. Pull a nice car trailer with the front end used for storage of all your personal property.

I am very sorry for your loss.

Welcome to the Forum. I just got back from a long trip with my crew. The way they spread out, I'm pretty sure I lived in less than 14':) No real advice on the Renegade. It is well built, the manufacturer stands behind it, and you will love it. Best of Luck!
