Boon docking in a TC? Traction in snow etc

Any of you guys take your 35-45ft TC off road? Obviously the length and huge rear over hangs are going to limit things in a big way. But what about boon docking on gravel roads (basically where a 2wd low clearance car would go).

How about on paved road covered in snow and ice. How do they handle 40-50mph cross winds in those conditions? Do you feel the twin screw setup to be a big help?

paved road in 40+ mph crosswinds isn't too bad (and i have a single rear axle).
we drove in some pretty nasty / gusty storms coming thru Louisiana a couple of years ago....wife left finger nail prints int he dash & chair arms.

I'm not too worried about dry roads and 40mph winds, but in winter we get some serious ground blizzards. Ice packed roads with winds that have exceeded 120mph.

They shut the roads when it gets that bad, but driving on ice in 40mph cross winds is pretty nasty. My 9,000lb 4x4 pickup with studded snow tires does well, but I do see a lot of semi's moving along pretty good in these conditions. And I also see a few of them with their trailers blown off the road...

Anyway blizzard performance is not a deal breaker. I can store my RV down in the desert over winter and just drive down to use it if need be.

However, being able to camp off of gravel roads is going to be very important....

I'm really curious as to how the 4x4 twin scroll's with lockers do. My guess is that traction will not be an issue, but clearance will be.
