Has anyone tried building a trailer or toter body (walls, ceiling, etc) using the vacuum bonding process to create a laminated panel of various layers (outer skin, insulation, stiffeners, fiberglass/kevlar/carbon fiber cloth, etc)? I have watched production RV's being built this way on several shows. It seems like a good way to get a seamless, rigid, watertight panel, especially if you can make an entire section at one time.
I was wondering if anyone here has used the process or seen it done and can fill us in on the positives/negatives/complexity. Thanks.
