Roadmaster used to be a few miles from my home. The founder Judd Jackson sold the business and it eventually failed. He built what I consider the finest conversion you could buy. And you paid for it. The slide is hydralic, with pneumatic seals to keep out the air/dust etc. The floor is aluminum extrusions that were custom made, welded and bolted together. If a vehicle had a sky light he used Bowmar (sp) marine hatches to make sure they were waterproof. The paint jobs are so deep you can dive into them. Notice no sharp edges on the exterior, and the over the cab area has an integrated look. After 9/11 the market really dried up for high line race car haulers which was their forte'.
Spirit of full disclosure, Judd is a friend of mine, so I am biased.
