36' overall on truck, combo is right at 65' It is a great deal, I spent much more then that just on materials not including cost of truck itself and labor. I've never even slept in it, or used the bathroom. Everything is literally still new and only tested or turned on periodically. The...

CA DMV Registration and title classifies the truck as a 2015 SPCNS Motorhome, original chassis was a 2001 Peterbilt 387 The full build process is in the HDT section on this forum. I just haven't had any time to use this thing since we built it, and a lot has changed causing me to be down to...

I hope not, everything we built kind of had a balanced weight idea behind it. The Diesel tank and 2 starting batteries are on the left front corner, then mid weight is the fresh water and right next to grey/black tanks. The right side has the generator, and 6 of the batteries. Then 2 more...

Don't know yet, but before we start towing for this year it will see a set of scales loaded with trailer just to have an idea. I know it will be heavy, but I am sure a long ways away from overloading axles with the trailer being so light and the cars inside.

Here is about the finished look. We added a crush panel rocker on the lower edges to keep the truck looking low but give me a cheap easy fix IF we found ourself high centered. Also put independent rear air ride on the back so I can adjust level and etc. I think we will air ride front as well.

Trimmed it out with all Aluminum angle, and the brilliant idea to use that Extruded rub rail all the way down. While it helps to hold bottom of walls in place and looks pretty good, it was a NIGHTMARE to obtain on the west coast and ended up causing a lot of problems after the 3rd damaged set...

After its all be sprayed to seal the raw wood I used a 3m Spray Adhesive to stick on the 4030 polished. Also screwing all the covered edges and any fixtures to each board leaves the possibility of it coming off on its own almost impossible.

Got all the Electrical wired in and generator in place with (6) 12volt Batteries. Skinny people can be very useful at times! We started with just bare Plywood and made all of our pre-cuts, adjustments, trims and etc to test fit all boards prior to finish. After any plywood is coated in...

Sorry, it has been a long time. I forgot all about this until I was clearing out my inbox. The truck is still not 100% complete the way I want it. But I am sure it will be a work in progress for a long long time as I find things I would like to add or change. Last year about the time of my last...

First off we removed the air cab, I did not feel comfortable with that much movement in the sleeper vs box. Adding the extended length to chassis makes them ride MUCH softer anyways. After we completed that, I had multiple test drives with the stretched chassis and different people, and all...

Haha thanks guys. Its been A LOT of work. But we did heavy heavy planning during the race season so we knew exactly how much material to buy, where to buy, and had full blueprints laid out so anyone could help build as long as they could read a tape measure or work a chop saw or welder. Saves a...

Here is it is lowered down on the truck. We secured it to the chassis by making our own u-bolts using big all thread and 3/16 flat bar. It looks funny because of the height being lower then the cab. But to clear the in-motion dish and A/C on the roof we had to keep it about 11" lower then the...

For the sides I decided to go with FRP panels from TPD Trailers locally. It would then match the appearance of my trailer and give me that smooth seamless side I wanted to achieve. The corners we had built are pressed over the top of the siding to allow the panels to be secured on the ends. Each...

I am skipping some of the little photos in between, but the basics behind the box are 4" C-Channel around outside base.
