I don't have any heavy duty experience with other than Holland and Fontaine factory tractor hitches. I don't think anyone tows 40K with any type of ball hitch though??? What type of trailer will you be towing? I doubt seriously if it weighs anywhere near 40K. Larry

Hank, I have never seen a pickup towed behind a class 8 using the Holland hitch. if I were you, I would fabricate and install a regular hitch and receiver. That would be the safest easiest way to go IMO The guys who use the clamps you mentioned are guys who deliver trucks all over the country...

I have three customers who live in CA. All three were able to license and register the 610 Volvo conversion they bought from me as motorhome. It can be done. Larry

All the 24.5s I have seen have been 24.5 by 8.25. I haven't seen any 9 inches wide. onezman

Almost Retired, I don't know anybody who has done that degree of interior modification. I do know there are a lot of sleeper manufacturers in your area though. I suspect some of the ones previously mentioned will be able to meet your needs. onezman
