I agree with your suggestions - I didn't have a suitable jack capable of lifting the trailer at the frame, only one that could raise the axle against the leaf springs. Being far from anywhere with tools or services, this was the only option. The TPMS would definitely have been handy.

Forest Fire on the Kenai Pennisula (2019)

Southbound on Alaska 1 from Anchorage to Homer in June 2019. This smokey stretch of road was near Sterling, AK. There were times I could barely see the trailer in front of me, even though the distance was short and speeds were about 25 mph. Hard to believe but there was road construction...

Liard River Provincial Park and Hot Springs

In July on our way home from Alaska, we kept hearing about Liard Hot Springs, so we checked it out. A day use pass for the hot springs was $10 ($5 each), it was only $16 more to spend to camp for the night, and enjoy the hot springs. It's dry camping but a great spot.

What you don't want to see when you stop for a break

Made it from California to Bell II BC with no problems. Road was in great shape. Somewhere between Bell II and Dease Lake, BC, we got an "Electric trailer brake is disconnected" notice on the instrument panel on our truck. After a couple of miles, we found a nice place to pull off the road...
