The 110v switch for the water heater is awkward going through the outside door with it's Mickey Mouse latch. Here we replaced the 110v outlet with a combo switch/outlet with pilot light. We can now turn the 110v part of hot water heater on/off here during setup/takedown. Much more convenient.
On the 2604WS you can get at critical wiring inside entertainment center so that is where the power monitor is mounted. It can also be out of site with door up and closed.
For boondocking you need to know what your electrical system is doing. This $20 digital meter from Bayite provides accurate battery voltage and current information. It also tracks current over time to provide power measurement. Only limitation is it only tracks current in or out but not both...
Stripped the Zamp junk solar prep (a 2-flat connector and 12G wire direct to battery with NO protection). Replaced with 4-round wired to solar controller to maintain portable solar option.
Original battery disconnect with added master 120A circuit breaker. Has visible trip lever and ALL battery power running through and protected. Battery upgraded to 4G cables.
Main power distribution panel, L-R: current measurement shunt, solar controller, 40A Maxi fuse for house power, spare Maxi fuse for future inverter, front slideout controller. Below solar controller is 6 fuse block for slideout power, voltage/current meter, and solar circuit protection.
