If you put the word "Racing" over the top or behind your company name will make it imply that you are using the vehicle for a non-commercial recreational activity. You may not be racing anything but the fuel gauge, but it could be a "support vehicle" for your hobby. Just putting your...
Shower Pan Bathroom
Just a thought. I used a 2' x 4' shower base for the bathroom, set the rv potty on the back (cut a second hole in the base for output) and framed up the shower base. Found a small corner sink at RV Parts Supply Store and added a shower curtain that pulls across the door...
Ready to Roll - 28' enclosed behind the Conversion. Trailer build-out next. Adding A/C and fold up bunks for the kids! It is an addition on wheels! Total Length is 64' 9"
Have you had any issues with being over-length with towing the hummer - with the rig being 47', and most states either at 65' max for motorhomes it doesn't leave much room for tow vehicle length. Anyone else out there finding DOT issues with overall length?
Thanks for the input so far. I have swapped air bags in the back - no real change. I took it to an alignment shop to check things out - they found it was out 3/32" of an inch. No issues with anything else. I am looking at adding the steering stabilizers to the tie rod. I'm not too excited...
Checked out the linkage from column down to wheels. There is less than 1" play in the wheel before the wheels are turning. Steering itself seems tight - something else is not quite right!
The stabilizer that I installed is more of a 5th link from the Front Axle to the Frame. Runs parallel...
I have a 99 Freightliner FL70 that has been converted to a Toter. The rig runs great and pulls my '28 enclosed great as well. My question is on the steering -there is still some slop before the wheels start to correct. I have replaced the steering box (there was a lot of slop in the old box)...
Truck was purchased at online auction. When we arrived to pick it up in upstate NY it was 2 degrees out. It was supposed to be ready to go!??!? Rear brakes had been disconnected - no pads left on shoes. One of the air bags on the rear suspension was missing as well! We managed to get an air...
At Campsite with '26 Model T Tudor. We put a speedster in the back and also haul a 28' enclosed trailer with two more Model Ts. New trailer is also set up for sleeping when the cars are not in it. (More room for the kids)
Note that the single rear door was converted to a double door so we could get the car in and out. You can still see the ghosting from the old decals - we will be painting the box soon.
