    Toter Advice

Like anything sometimes you get a lemon. My mum and dad bought a rover two months ago (two year old) and its spent nearly a month in the garage. Had major fuel pump issues. (and I've noticed tonight I can hear the throw-out bearing whining out of gear) Test it as much as they will let you, send...

Now here is a real conversion

Ah, thats childs play compaired to the 660hp Volvo! (I think the defining point might be the V8 i the the volvo may be a V10).

From speaking to some family members alot of the cabover (with lutton areas) removal trucks don't allow the cab to tilt while the body is in place. All the regular maintenance can be done from the access areas and some more complicated items from underneath (I know kaye's not going to like that...

Building my own, more trouble then its worth?

I think you might have to keep in mind that opinions are like a**holes...everyones got one. Don't get me wrong I'm sure one of those long toters would have some difficulty turning round but a short one with a couple of seats and maybe an overhead bunk (i'm assuming you want the 5th wheel to be...

    2006 Show Hauler

I love the look of the volvo's. Its pretty cool how they have an international look (check out the european version if you don't get what i mean). The european one can be spec'd with up to a 610hp engine, now that would be some conversion! Edit:: Make that 660hp

That is a nice one. I've seen one or two trucks almost in the same catigory, but never as nicely done as this one (and lots like the Ford Cargo conversion on the other thread). I'd definatly like to make/buy something like this as warpath described. Certainly would put the guys in second hand 3...

    Peterbilt 387 Motorhome

Thats one fine looking truck spooner! Can't wait to see pictures of this one finished...actually I'm still waiting on pictures of the other one! How about setting a webcam up in your shop, looks like there'd always be something to see on it!

    Not so pretty

Well, in Britian theres a fairly clear distinction between the circus and showmen. Show people are pretty much normal people except their job (pretty much for old times sake now, since it isn't particularly profitable) is taking their rides and attractions to different fairgrounds around the...

    Not so pretty

http://www.funfairs.ndirect.co.uk/Newcastle_04/ I was brought up around trucks like these, espesially the ERF's (our family know more about these trucks than the dealers ever did!) Though the volvo's and older skania's are becoming increasingly common. I never thought about the twinsteers...

    Plumbing

I'd imagine the first problems would be small leeks around seals and joints. How about some small sections of hose to avoid bending and stressing the joints? Main issue would be where to put them to maximise the reduction in stress.

Yeah, I know, will probably be a 4x8 (pretty common over here, especially before 5th trailers took off). If you went to the trouble of getting a truck that size with AWD you can be damn sure it would have some pretty agressive tires on it.

And if it was 8 wheel drive...you could drive from A to B without having to turn the steering wheel...(what, you think tree's, hills, rocks, cars or houses would get in the way...damn they'd sprout legs and run out of the way at first glance!)

    FLD120 Conversion Update: Exterior/Interior

Great looking truck, whats your plans for the storage compartment (belly boxes as i'd call them!) doors. What about the walls?

I'm I the only one that likes the look of the 'really ugly' CoE! Kinda looks like the older bus looking A classes except with more bite!
