    How about this combo..

It is useable right now. The remodel would be a nice thing to do. I would be doing it myself most likely anyway. It was professionally converted in the 80's. I didn't post all the pictures. Mostly the upper cabinets need to be updated and the cabinets around the fridge which are just...

Crown HYPO "bruck" - drivers seat

This is a Crown Highway Post Office (66') It has been converted to RV. Crowns are more truck then bus in their construction. This one is Cummins 400 w/ 13 speed roadranger, dual drive rear axles. I want it but wife says NO!

    How about this combo..

I posted photos of the Bruck I found for sale. Crown HYPO (highway post office). I think it looks very cool. The interior needs updating and some improved cabnetry. Overall the systems seem decent and the powertrain is all stuff you can maintain. Pictures are in the on-off section. I have...

    How about this combo..

I can forward someone some pictures if they know how to post them. The way this thing is built and equipped, you would think it started as a truck, dual drive rockwell axles with interlock, air ride suspension. The exterior is in good condition and most everything for them is still around...

    How about this combo..

It is a Crown Postal Bus. 40 feet long and already converted. I don't know how to post the pics but it looks pretty cool. The inside needs work but it has a really good drivetrain/running gear, tires etc. He wants 30k for it. I am stoked to buy it but would have to unload my PSD and...

    How about this combo..

How about this for a combo: Big Cam 400 Cummins, 13 spd OD, 38k rear dual drive axles, 4.10 ratio, 40 feet of living space? Ceilings are 6'8" through most of it. My feeling would be I would need a taller axle ratio, more like 3.50 or so. Kevin

Maybe a driver someday - long

I am nearing the end of my Naval career in the next couple years and am thinking of the future. My brother has been running a warehouse operation for years and we have talked of expanding some. He transloads paper. It is a pretty small operation but he has expanded to moving paper bales for...

How about an amphibious fiberglass car with a turbo diesel of course?

How about that Prevost Bus that is amphibious? It was for sale not long about for high 6 figures, includes a swim deck. Seems perfect for Shasta and the like.

Ford F650 crew cab diesel with 22.5 in wheels on ebay.

I saw at least 2 CXT Internationals on Ebay in one week last month. I don't think they are very practical. Sort of like a Hummer only it is actually a pickup. I would want a tow body or a bed to carry my camper on one.

1953 Kenworth Cabover Tractor only for sale.

I bet you can find one of those out west for less. They are more common on the Pacific coast. KW, Pete and Freightliner are all located up there. I know there are several in fields in Oregon and WA along I5.

    Peterbilt 359 Conversion

I am sort of fond of old F-liners. My Dad worked at the factory in Portland in the 60's. A friend's Dad had a 48 F-liner with so many miles on it that Cummins ran an add on how old the engine was and still running. I don't really want to get into the Mercedes F-liners since they are...

    Peterbilt 359 Conversion

Now that is what I am talking about. I want to do a later 359 (more modern brakes and running gear) but want round headlights and the classic look. A needle nose Pete or KW would also be very cool in my book or an early Freightliner conventional. The newer FTL classics aren't bad looking...

    wheelbase requirement

I am looking at 28 footer's like yours. I am trying to eventually move up from my truck and camper and get into auto road racing along with camping etc. I will still need to pull a trailer. I am torn between finding that old gem or picking up a later model F-liner similar to yours. I like...

    federal bridge law

I wouldn't want to be the guy that broke the bridge. Pay a few bucks and hit the Cat scales and find out what it weighs and then avoid bridges you are overweight for. Kevin

Conversion I saw listed on Ebay

Listed on EBAY. Item number: 2485050834 Sort of interesting. I like the truck but wonder about leaving the sleeper on. Doesn't mention who built it either. Price isn't too bad I suppose.

    wheelbase requirement

I am shopping for trucks though not too seriously at this point. What wheelbase should I be looking for to fit say a 30foot motorhome? How much does it cost to extend to the appropriate length if not long enough and is it important to get close on that initially? What about trucks with set...

What's the differences between a Class 8 and a Bus?

Honestly they both are probably able platforms. Buses are more common these days. I would bet the bus will likely ride better but is not as customizable. Slightly limited in drivetrain selection compared to the Class 8. I have thought about a bus conversion too but like trucks and never do...
