    Ready for the skin

It's been about three weeks and we are now getting ready to put the outside skin on. Take a look at my gallery and let me know how it looks. I didn't have any updated photos yet of the box with the basement attached. I'll get those toward the end of the week

    Remove axle?

You might want to consider leaving the front drive axle just for the ride and stability features. I am currently in the process of building a triple slide 30' box on a freightliner columbia. Air ride on cab

Has anyone ever tried to leave the air ride on the cab and connect it to the box with a flexable gasket? I am working with a large gasket company to develop something that gives a water tight seal, moves freely with the cab, and does not squeek or make noises. This will enable me to have a...

    Cab to shell conversion

Pics would be wonderful, but why would they cut the sleeper off 6'' behind the doors. Do they not use any of the sleeper for living area? How do they fasten the cab solid when they pull the air ride off? I think I understand what you ment about building a frame around the inside of the cut...

    Cab to shell conversion

Are there any benefits or down falls to attaching a shell to a stand up sleeper on a 2006 Freightliner Columbia. Iam thinking of contouring the front of the shell into sleeper to make it look like one unit. I am unsure of the right way to do this to prevent leaks or cracks

    Just starting conversion, 07 Columbia

Bob, I am also just starting a conversion and will fabricate my own box. I am a little nervous about these slideouts. Do you have any pictures of them or know where to get the components from? Also, how are you going to connect the truck to the box to ensure a tight seal?
