How to rate quality of builders

i don't know, but am interested in feed back. my coach is a kingsley and they said that for cold weather camping that they put hot water heater elements in the tanks with a reostat on them and that they had never had any complaints. this is why my tanks are mounted vertically between the frame...

Facing Slideouts on a Class 8

thoughts on opposing slides-- if the depth of the slides is taken into consideration then couldn't the aisle be at a reasonable width? on my coach the depth of my slide out was 22". that gave me a fairly open floor even when the slide was in. --- mase

How to rate quality of builders

you are familiar with the saying "it's up to you"???? well-- if you are going to keep the caoch build it tour way-- if you are not sure and are still in the i'm not real sure --- go with a pre-buit unit,---- that way you are in and out for less money while still being able to build 'xactly what...

    mounting cab?

assumption being ----- i'm guessing you're talking about the rear bags--? on mine kingsley mounted my cab solid to the rear cross member of the frame. that was to cut down on flexing between the cab and the coach body. i can scan the pics and send them if you are interested-- mase

    Building Questions

randy, mase, i'm of the same opinion as geof, we'vr got a carpet like material on our ceiling-- it does cut down on noise-- and i like the way it can be vacummed -- the down side is if a water leak does come into play it can stain -- but then again the carpet is a good insulation factor-- mase

    Overall Height ???

do you really need a 7' or greater ceiling height? ours is 6'-6" and we don't notice the dif.-- this does keep the weight down a bit and lowers the c.g.-- also don't know how much more efficent that makes the heat/ac but it can't hurt-- with all that said it's a T2000 with 22.5 s and measures...

Coach in the Making Two - Graphics

bill, mase,--- where are you putting your black and grey tanks---- ? mine are edge ways between the drive shaft and the frame verticle and lengthways-- they are aluminun-- gives more space in the basement--- just a thought-- like the graphics too, cool but not gaudy--- there you go---- classy-- mase

Coach in the Making Two - Truck Spec's

bill-- if you're changing the seats why pay for optioned ones-- also are the hoses silicone ? is 21,000 rear axle going to be heavy enough? --oh- with the automatic tranny-- i'd try to get the road rpms as low as possible, mie is a 3.08-- i know that you probbaly can't get that low-- but i'd...

Coach in the Making Two - Putting ideas together

bill, i've got a question?-- in our coach we used a movable table and a recliner instead of the dinnette. by using that we were able to put a wardrobe in the hall between the bedroom and the kitchen. ---- is that some you might be interested in?--- let me know-- the moveable table came from...

Rear Bumper questions for a class 8.

bravest dog-- mase sanford, go to photos-- warpath's photos--page 26-- top left corner-- that's my rig- iused 1/4 " wall 3" square tubing-- we had enough reinforcing added to the back that if someone hits the bumper it'll probably mess up the alunimun panels on the back but there should not be...

    Height/length issues

height and length issuse are sorta like pain issues-- it depends on your definition of issues-- i'm 39-6" and 12' 4" tall--- ok the coach is-- but most campgrounds in their ads will say big rigs welcome if the can accomodate if you have any hesitations call'em an' ask 'em. we've found that state...
