    Up coming projects

Yea, definately sounds you are using your rig more as an "RV" than as "truck"-conversion. Showhauler should check with you and other RVers and offer some of these items as option if they really want to get in the RV sector of the market, as the racing sector seems to dry up.

Caution to anyone towing for competition or where you get a payoff including a trophy

Many many posts and threads on this subject. In CA you ARE limited to 65ft. Regardless what is legal in your state as soon as you enter another state you are subject to their laws and regs (at least regarding weight and lengh). If your 70 most likely nobody stops you, they have other stuff to...

    Cold weather considerations

In the class C community Bigfoot is very well knows as a real 4 season coach with perfect insulation and quality. BUT, did you also look at the prices? A 34 ft (thats overall lengh, not box) onthe new Kodiak 5500 is listing around 200K. Ouch.

    Kingsley for sale

There was another thread on this bus, Dec 13 last year under "for sale". Too bad the price was not mentioned in the posts, as the link of course goes to the same page and it would be interesting to see if they had dropped the price meanwhile.

    FL112 vs FL120

I hope the 120 is only 8" (inches) longer than the 112. Good question, I asked my self the same, why most converters use the CL120 instead of the CL112.

Optical Illusions links for conversion graphics.

Wow.... I'm too dizzy to type now. So can we use some of these illusions to make a 45 footer look like 30 foot only? Or go 75mph and tell the officer it just looks like moving, in reality its standing still?

Hitch tongue rating and golf cart carrier

Guess you did not get an answer on RVnet. Well, I only can assume 10 to 15% of tongue weight? 4,000 to 6,000 lbs? Most likely the real answer is just load your real axle to the limit. 20K or 23K, depending on what number you believe. Check out this one for the 3 prong...

    2005 Showhauler, 45', on a 2000 Freightliner, 470k miles on ebay.

Warpath is right, the same truck is/was on racingjunk.com. I think it was even one about 3,4 months ago as well.

Why are the rear axles on this truck spaced like this?

Hi BD, guess you did not read the following thread that I had started about 1 week ago. http://truckhome.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5246055061/m/1761095153

Now here is a real conversion

Now this one is especially for Geof, take your pick from any of these conversions... from so-so cool to ugly to downright disgusting. http://www.horsequest.co.uk/TransportHorseboxes.htm Those ones are a bit better. http://www.warrenclarkesporthorses.com/horseboxes.html I think nr 2,14 and 15...

Now here is a real conversion

And I live near Los Angeles in Norco - slogan: Horsetown USA - with 2 dogs and most my neighbors have horses (and 1 camel in town) besides boats, 5ers, trailers... so what am I to say? Anyway, that Scania looks like a truck to me, not a bus. Strange though as most tractors on Europe are only 1...

    2002 Kingsley 45' found on busforsale.com

I guess its the same as at my house (or most newer homes here in SoCal). One duct and outlet, and the blower - in the attic - just blows air, either hot from furnace or cold from the a/c heat exchanger. How you get not sick from the germ... boy, maybe im already sick... but trhere are companies...

How to prevent a rig from catching on fire questions.

I think the thread you are refering to was from the guy who lost his Kingsley due to fire that started somewhere near the front. He had posted lots of pics at that time. Re yur question on the gas... if you go to the rvnet or some other RV board, there are always discussions on this issue...

    2002 Kingsley 45' found on busforsale.com

Is it my imagination or is the slide out crocked? The tope seems to be more out than the bottom. Maybe they needed the bulkhead in the slide to help structural inegrity?

    2003 Wildside 28' on a 89 Peterbuilt on ebay.

Well, we got it from the horses mouth (Wild01). When I talked to them few month ago I was also told, its cheaper to keep then to remove the second axle and gives you more traction when off-road.

    2006 ? 33ft conversion -strange rear axle

Saw this ad on racingjunk. Tried to call the guy, but only VM. http://www.racingjunk.com/exec/ca/view/545769/99-Freightliner--2006--33-Conversion.html A bit too big for me, but .... how is that axle setup?? How you figure out the wheelbase? Is one of them liftable, otherwise how can you make...

    Peterbilt 387 Motorhome

So would you guys consider the M2 a MDT or HDT? They can be either class 7 or 8 from what I understand. Im sure the M2 112 is HD (comes with MB 4000 engine as well), but already close to the CL 112 in size then. So the M2 106 is ....???

    Peterbilt 387 Motorhome

Yea, that and another about 140K.... Thanks for detailed info. As you mentioned the truck will spend most of its time with trailer and in desert, why did you remove the twin? Needed more basement space? Or you do not need the extra traction and rear axle capacity?
