Dodger, I had 10 22.5 on my truck and they were outrageous to replace, so I went with 11 22.5 lopro and they are barely bigger than the 10s and much cheaper. Secondly, i feel for you and the drilling. make sure and get some GOOD bits. they will save you a whole day of drilling.

On a smaller scale, some of my hot rod buddies use aluminum pipe with rubber hose on each end. If you did this, you could possibly use a 2.5" pipe with a 1/2 inch up on one side and a 1/2 inch down on the other. I haven't tried it personally, but maybe you could perfect the idea.

on this last trip I started having issues with the water pump. If I turn it on full blast, it won't work at all. If I turn it on half way, it surges....but it does work. Any suggestions?

GK, I new a singer back in the 80's that retired from driving truck and converted his trailer into a RV/sound hauler. He had a "BUCK STOVE" potbelly in the RV section for heat. It worked well. Of course, that was before pellet stoves became popular. I would guess he heated about 40' with that...
