Bob might remember that my "introduction" to motorhoming was from a friend who owned a string of five Liberty Prevosts! He and his wife went on many, many trips and met many people MHing. He told of story of a motorhome friend of his who had a tire blow out on the tow vehicle in the days...

    My L.E.D. interior lights

Is it possible that lights and the water pump are on the same circuit? Of that the wire for the pump might be undersized? Or is the flicker phenomena inherent in 12 volt electricity?

How thick should the concrete be?

I'm going to build a new race shop at the end of the existing concrete drive. The apron between the shop and the existing drive will probably be 10 to 12 feet. Between the shop and the lot line (25 feet) I'm going to pour a pad to park the enclosed trailer (now 24') and the tow vehicle. The...

Something doesn't jive here. The American Pickers shop is in Iowa, near the Mississippi River I think. "working our way east to Ohio to visit the shop from American Pickers". Did you mean working your way west to Iowa?

Why pulling the trailer? Wouldn't it have been easier and cheaper to drive the car? tow the car?

Converting a diesel tank to a race fuel tank.

I heard a "rumor" from a fellow racer who told me "you know if you carry any more fuel than will fit in the tanks of the race car or the generator, like those five gallon tanks in the back of your trailer, you should have all the haz mat stuff in place!" I already know I probably should...

A simple panhard bar might work too. All depends on how much up and down travel you want for the box.

Converting a diesel tank to a race fuel tank.

Many of us take our own race fuel to the track. I use quite a bit in the #90 Heilig-Meyers Ford, can save $2 or more a gallon buying off-track, and I think it will be more convenient. I've been considering that after I've bought a T/C to haul the race trailer, converting one of the diesel...

Very nice. What kind of switch do you have? micro switch operated by an open door? little rocker inside the bay? did you wire them to a master for the bays on the dash? nice work!

    Air Bags

Consider putting in a Watts Like, just like they use on race cars. The travel will be limited. Should be easy to do that will allow the box to move up and down with easy. Put one in front and one in back. Should be easy to fab up with big Heim joints and heavy steel tubing. Watt's linkage -...
